Visit by Directors of Malaysia Hindu Sangam Nine Directors of the Malaysia Hindu Sangam visited Singapore Ramakrishna Mission on Friday, 5 August 2016. The group was led by Sri Mohan Shan, the National President of the MHS. On arrival they were received and taken to Sri Ramakrishna Temple. Paying obeisance at the temple they sang a few stanzas from the popular Thevaram, a popular Saivite devotional literature. They were then taken to WINGS Counselling Centre where they were briefed about the activities by one of the Counsellors. Next stop was at Sarada KG where they saw how the children were taught in the 179 BARTLEY ROAD | SINGAPORE 539784
classrooms. They felt happy to see the children learning a new bee-bot game, based on tech-toys. Thereafter they saw the Sarada Hall and the Boys’ Home. All of them had lunch prasad with the four monks at the Dining hall. At their departure, each of them was given a gift of a Tamil book “Vivekananda by Vivekananda”. They presented a copy of Kamba Ramayanam in English for the Ramakrishna Mission Library. It was noted that the MHS had last year donated more than 4 lakh Rupees to the Ramakrishna Mission Boys' Home at Mylapore, Chennai towards their massive Flood Relief programme.
