Hubli
The twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad are located at a distance of around 418 Km north of Bangalore and 550 Km south of Mumbai. The city of Dharwad is situated in the east of the famous Western Ghats and is surrounded by hills and lakes. Dharwad is also the district head quarters, educational, industrial and financial hub for North Karnataka. Hubli is the second largest city in the state of Karnataka. This historic town was known as Raya Hubli and also as Elaya Puravada Halli during the ancient times. This city metamorphosed into an important commercial centre for trade in cotton and iron during the reign of the Vijaynagara empire. Hubli - Dharwad prides itself in being Centre of high quality education from kinder garden to doctorate studies. IBMR in association with SMU offers a two years campus based MBA and PGPM (Twin Program). The Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences, Gangtok is incorporated under the State Legislative Act (Act IX of 1995) of the Government of Sikkim and is recognized by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and also by the University Grants Commission. The Sikkim Manipal University's Degrees Diplomas /Certificates are recognized by all members of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/ Diplomas / Certificates of all Indian Universities / Deemed Universities / Institutions vide UGC Circular No FI-B/92 (CPP) dated February 1992 & AIU Circular No EV/B(449)/94/l769 I 5-177II 5 dated January, 1994 are equivalent. Evaluation and Grading The evaluations are conceived, developed and administered on a rigorous and fair basis to bring out the best in students and prepare them for challenging careers. Continuous evaluation carries 30% weightage on the final score. Term end examinations conducted at the examination Centers and evaluated by the university carry 70% weightage on the final score. Continuous evaluation is done through assignments and practicals. In each subject a student should secure at least 35% marks of continuous evaluation and 35% in term end examination and an aggregate of 40% to pass. Based on the student performance, the following grading system will be adopted.
