"Today, we're learning about school bus safety," announces Teacher Lisa. Officer Dan, standing beside a school bus, nods in agreement.
Teacher Lisa's Input: "Staying safe on the bus is just as important as in school," she adds.
"Always line up and wait for the bus to stop completely," instructs Officer Dan. The children practice patiently.
Officer Dan's Tip: "No pushing or running," he reminds them.
"Find a seat quickly , and sit facing forward, " advises Teacher Lisa as the children settle in their seats. Teacher Lisa's Reminder: "Staying seated keeps you safe," she explains.
"If your bus has seatbelts, use them," says Officer Dan, demonstrating. The children follow suit.
Officer Dan's Instruction: "It's your first line of safety," he emphasizes.
"Keep the noise down and stay in your seat," Teacher Lisa advises as the bus moves. Teacher Lisa's Rule: "Good behavior is part of bus safety," she notes.
"Know where the emergency exits are," he instructs. The children look and learn. Officer Dan's Advice: "Being aware can keep you safe in an emergency," he says.
"Your bus driver is here to keep you safe. Listen to them," Teacher Lisa tells the children. Teacher Lisa's Tip: "They know the best way to keep everyone safe," she adds.
"Always look both ways and use the crosswalk," Officer Dan instructs as a child demonstrates. Officer Dan's Rule: "Never cross behind or in front of the bus without looking," he warns.
"Stay away from the curb while waiting for the bus," says Teacher Lisa. The children stand safely back. Teacher Lisa's Caution: "Keeping a safe distance is important," she advises.
"Put away your toys and gadgets on the bus," suggests Officer Dan. The children comply.
Officer Dan's Suggestion: "It helps you stay aware of your surroundings," he explains.
"Keep the aisle clear," Teacher Lisa reminds. The children tuck their bags clear of the aisle. Teacher Lisa's Guidance: "It prevents trips and falls," she points out.
"Today's lesson on bus safety is crucial," says Teacher Lisa. "What we've learned keeps us and others safe while traveling.”
Teacher Lisa's Reflection: "Remember, safety on the bus is everyone's responsibility. Following these rules ensures that everyone gets to and from school safely."
