With the fundraiser nearly over, the pressure was on. This was their last chance to save the ranch.
“We’re so close—we just need one last push,” said Missy.
“Let’s give it everything we’ve got,” said Ken.
“When your heart’s in it, nothing is impossible,” said Nana.
They put up signs, handed out flyers, and reminded everyone they could—every book counted.
“Come on, Brite Star—we’re almost there!”
said Brooke.
“Let’s finish strong!” said Sam.
Missy spoke at local events, sharing their story and why the ranch mattered so much.
“This ranch is more than land—it’s a safe place for animals who need love,” said Missy.
“I’m buying ten copies right now,” said a neighbor.
Ken and Whit launched a final online push, sharing their mission with the world.
“If everyone shares this, we can make it!” said Whit.
“Help us give these animals the home they deserve!” said Ken.
The town rallied. People came together like never before.
“3,500 copies sold. Can we reach 5,000?” said Missy.
But not everyone was rooting for their success.
“They can’t actually pull this off... can they?” muttered Ben.
With one day left, they were still short. Hopes were high, but tension was higher.
“We’re
still 800 copies short,” said Sam. “We can’t give up now. We’re too close,” said Missy.
As a final effort, they organized a reading event at the school.
“We’re going to
read,
inspire,
and sell until the very end!” said Brooke. “Let’s make this count!” said Whit.
Then, out of nowhere, something amazing happened.
“I’ve got a delivery here—big order. Real big,” said the driver.
A mystery buyer had placed a massive order—just enough to reach their goal.
“This might be it... this could actually save the ranch,” said Missy.
They waited, holding their breath, as the numbers loaded on the screen.
“Tomorrow, we’ll know for sure,” said Ken.
The stars above Brite Star Ranch twinkled a little brighter that night, as everyone hoped for a miracle.
“Whatever
happens, you’ve already made magic, my dear,” said Nana.
