"Missy had always dreamed of competing, and now she had her chance!”

Ken said, "This is going to be amazing! Your first real riding competition!"

Missy replied, "I’m nervous, but Mr. Rodgers and I have been practicing so hard."

"The Brite Star Horse Show was the biggest event of the year."

Nana smiled, "This

is a great opportunity, sweetheart. Just do your best and enjoy the ride."

Missy nodded and patted Mr. Rodgers' neck.

"But not everyone wanted to see Missy succeed.”

Tiffany sneered, "You don’t belong in this competition, Missy."

Ben Johnson added, "Scotty is the best horse here. You’ll

never win."
"Missy ignored Tiffany’s words and focused on the competition.”

Tom assured her, "Your saddle’s secure, and Mr. Rodgers is ready."

Sam cheered, "You got this, Missy! Show them what real talent looks like."

"The event was about to begin. Missy took a deep breath.”

Missy whispered to Mr. Rodgers, "We’ve got this, buddy. Just like we practiced." Mr. Rodgers snorted and nodded his head as if he understood.

"Missy and Mr. Rodgers were in perfect sync.”
A judge commented, "Beautiful jump! Great form!"

Tiffany glared from the

sideline.
"But Tiffany had a plan to make sure Missy failed.”
Tiffany whispered to herself, "Let’s see how well you ride now."
"Missy’s saddle felt loose! Something was wrong!”

Missy

thought

quickly,

"Hold on, Mr. Rodgers! We can do this!" She tightened her grip and focused.

With quick thinking and trust in her horse, Missy saved the ride!”

Ken cheered, "That was incredible!"

Nana smiled proudly, "She’s got the heart of a true champion!"

"Missy didn’t win first place, but she won something even greater—respect.”

Missy grinned,

"We did our best, and that’s what matters."

Tom added, "And

you proved that real riders rely on skill, not tricks."
"Tiffany had always played to win, but today, she learned something new.”
Tiffany whispered to herself, "Maybe there’s more to this than just coming in first."
"Back at the ranch, Missy and her friends knew they had won something far more important than a trophy.”

Nana said, "True champions show heart and integrity."

Missy smiled, "And next time, we’ll aim for first place the right way!"

Think About:

1. How did Missy handle the challenge when something went wrong?

2. Why is it important to play fair in competitions?

3. What do you think Tiffany learned from this experience?
