Warsaw Commericial and Culture Center The site of this project is located in the central area of Warsaw, a vibrant and busy intersection nearby train station. The whole building has 3 main ground-bound volumes supporting itself and creating a void below the mass. Through lifting core mass, clear accessibilities are created between this complex and the surroundings, at the mean time, this project remains the openness and intact configuration of building both. Utilizing the metal cladding facade and larger scale of curtain walls, the building itself merges into the environment and reduce the impact of large mass reasonably. Following the design trajectory, the sophisticated interior is reflected on the outer form, expressing the integrity of the architecture.

Taipei Museum Bridge Taipei is a basin surrounded by the Tamsui River, the Keelung River, and the Jingmei River. Zhongxing Bridge is an important bridge connecting Taipei and New Taipei City. However, the existing designof Zhongxing Bridgeis for vehicle traffic andlacks pedestrian walkways. So that pedestrians are unable to pass through the bridge and are confined to both sides of the river. In view of growing populationand increasing number of vehicles, as well as limited urban space, I redefine the role of the bridgeas the city's activity space.Divided into two layers, the bridge has separate circulations for people and cars as well as art gallery spaces , so that the bridge not only has the function for transportation, but also is a space for various urban activities.

Vienna Central Railway Station The location of Vienna central station is the most vital transportation hub, all of Austrian Federal Railways' long-distance trains stop here. Beside the railway system, the issue of people flow from U-Bahn system needs to be concerned. Through the integration of station and commercial spaces, All the programs are organized as a complex, instead of interspersed volumes. The volume of the building shows an impression of mountains by performing the form of folded multi-surface mesh and deforming itself to the directions toward other urban attractions. At the mean time, it clearly delineates trajectories and orientation with the interconnecting the commercial programs at the northern side, and transportation at the southern side.

Cellurar Automata Tower The concept of this project is to generate a conceptual form by applying the rule of cellular automata (CA) and voxelization to a 3-dimensional array. First, the 2-dimensional array of values at the initial layer of cells is generated randomly. Second, a certain amount of layers is applied with CA rule. Then, the result of the comparison between the values stored in the 3-dimensional array and predetermined constant will determine whether the faces of voxels open or not. The expected form can be achieved by manipulating certain parameters in the set of algorithms. Apart from the original CA rule, the designated set of curves are placed into the 3-dimensional array. By calculating the minimum of distance between the cell and curve, it changes the factor related to the speed of infection. The void and solid spaces can be controlled by changing the curvatures of the curves.

Wireframe Pavilion Through the application of Frei Otto's experiment, a bunch of lines created randomly in a confined box are attracted to each other. The result of curves bundling reveals the possibilities of varied spatial disposition. By using these curves bundling as bone structures, create diverse forms of wireframe pavilions, the knots distributed evenly on the curves connect to each other by a range of distances to create a wireframe. This methodology of form finding also shows the capability of adapting varied environmental restrictions.
Wool Experiment This is an experiment with curves which were designed and then subjected to attraction by some points-as-attractors. Curves were affected not only by each other but also by points. Increasing and decreasing some adjustments such as maximum number of points, minimum or maximum attraction radius gave us a variety of self-organized results, structures and patterns.

By dividing every curve with a certain length to get a points cloud, the rule of connection is to iterate every knot and find all other knots within the specific range of distance, then connect them to make a wireframe.
Generate random line within confined box Firs step is to choose a point randomly on one of the planes from 3-dimensional space and use the same process on another plane to pick a point, then connect them by a line. By repeating the process, a bundling of lines is created.
Apply wool experiment
Apply wireframe connection rule
the curves are attracted to each other with certain extent by applying wool experiment, then the knots are connected by applying the aforementioned rule of connection to achieve the final form.
Quadrodivision Tower Given that the environment is a square layer structure with fixed spacing between layers. Several cursors are positioned at the initial layer. By giving random initial vectors to cursors, they will start to move along the random direction on the x-y plane by the stigmergic rule, and move up along z-axis by the length equal to the spacing of layers at every iteration, creating a swarm of cursors with gradual direction shifting. The operation will iterate through every layer along with the swarm of cursors simultaneously, the layer will bisect itself according to the position of cursors on the same level until the lengths of divisions and a number of cursors fit the rule set. After the algorithm is done, we can achieve a geometrical composition with intricate void-solid relationship in the form of tower.

Robotic Fabrication Analytic approach to spatial extrusion of ABS filament investigating the enclosed possibilities in a generic system In this fabrication project, we controlled the small scale robot arm and the heater at its front-end by coding in python, the robot arm can extrude the filament and cool off immediately. It's possible to form the reasonable structure meshes along the designated paths. Considering the feasibility, the efficiency, and the materiality, we experimented different types of structure and possible forms, finishing the final large-scale project.
During the process of experiment stage, we started experimenting various types of cantilever structures, tried to challenge its extreme situations, at the mean time, learned to optimize codes and the setting of fabrication, the path for robotic movements in order to reduce the chances of failures. We also made effort to deal with every accident happened during the fabrication and

Extensile Robotic Fabrication Workshop MAS CAAD ETH Zurich 2015
Extensile is an installation during a robotic fabrication workshop at ETH Zurich in summer 2015. The installation consists of 24 sheets of thermoplastic polymer. The sheets wew heated locally with a stationary heatgun and deformed with a variety of selfmade tools using a KUKA six axes industrial robot. By changing the thickness of the plastic sheet through deformation, the way light is scattered through the material is considerably altered, allowing for different grades of translucency and varying optical sensations. In Taoyuan International Airport, because that the concourse of the first and the second terminals are already old and that the third terminal will built in the near future, the related authority decided to renovate the wall of the concourse. In this project, I took part in the initial design,3D modeling, proposal writing and architectural draft drawing. Because there are many parts in need of repair, the existingwall of concourse can only be modified but not demolished. We use the same truss member which have different indulged angle in each set covering the concourse to create the image of the Central Mountain Range. Therefore,we are able to make improvements and do repairs in accordance with different parts and different situations of the existing concourse to reduce building costs and increase the variation of facade. In addition, the flexible change of facade unit can match the indeterminate style of the third terminal in the future.
