Waldorf education is the system that was introduced to us in our semester five. It is a education system where students do not learn in the classroom only, specifically not just theories. It teaches children on how to plant trees, how to grow crops, cut a wood, handicrafts, etc. and most importantly, students are filled with excitement when they are going to school. In this project, we were to design a kindergarten school for children ranging from the age of 4 - 6.
The
spaces are divided into 4 strips, each with different
functions. But in general, they are separated into: canteen and office, classrooms, art and music classes. Each of the strips are connected by a joint: hardscape pathways, multi-level slope and stairs pathway and terrace overlooking the lake. The purpose of this clear division of spaces is so that when an activity is being carried out, it does not disturb another activity that is going on as well. For example music and workshop, music and science class and so on. The classrooms will not be filled only with chairs and tables. But there will musical instruments, kitchen for cooking, plant nursery tools, dining table, as well as black board. Roof Plan 03
terraforma school WHAT IF AN ARCHITECTURE CAN BE NATURE ITSELF?
The main concept is to make the whole architecture invisible, blending into the earth into a single entity. Forming spaces underneath the ground as though they are inside the ground itself. Since the ancient times, people have been close to nature and they evolved tremendously since primal being to a modern scientist like Einstein. Nature environments aid in learning, absorbing knowledge faster than we know because it involves most of our human senses like sight, touch, smell, etc. However, the school can only be visible from one angle, which is the lake signifying difference in perspective. A building that is completely invisible in one angle can be completely visible in another angle.

Even a brick wants to be something -LOUIS KAHN-
The client envisioned that his project has to be multifunctional in such a big site with plenty of living unit types with retails and office buildings. Our proposal is to design a villa that separates itself from the main body of the building to have a unique identity and better privacy. For the other living units such as terrace and apartment, they are tied by a design unity which is inspired from the shape of the beach. We visualize that the lines of the beach are as though curving in into the building and we decided to bend the curves into both vertical and horizontal line shaping the building and the circulation. One of the unique selling point of the project is that it features local plantations into the building as the owner also owns a plantation company. By doing so, he is able to increase the value of the building as well as his plantation company.

The project being situated in Solomon Islands and in the middle of a large development area, there is a tiny piece of land dedicated for resort housing, more as a retreat. The resort housings were intended to be designed for ultimate comfort and convenience since there are convenience stores, school, office and other facilities nearby. The house contains three rooms (all facing the sea), large living room, family room, recreation room, dining table that faces the sea as well, a garden and a swimming pool. The houses are all connected by an esplanade that leads to the beach and other water activity areas.

THE SITE
THE ZONE
THE MASS
PROGRAM
The site is strategically located in the middle of the site benefiting from vast species of fauna and flora.
The site is divided into 4 different zones in accordance to the programs and inspired by bird’s flight sequences.
The architecture’s mass strictly follows the height of surrounding trees and human comfort.
The programs of the building are distributed according using differences in height as well as landscaping, creating difference in user experience.
In Latvia, the sun rises and sets around the southern pole, directly at the direction of the main entrance. Being in a natural place and near lake, considering the land condition and sustainability reasons, local materials and lighter structure will be used.
The first one, THE THRUST is the dividing area between outside and inside of the site, just like the beginning of a flight. Second and third, FLAP DOWN and FLAP UP signifies the differences in level and seriousness. Finally, THE FLIGHT is the end zone, where visitor can relax for a while after long day of traveling.
29
In the third zone, there will be 2 levels with different sets of purpose and different end path yet intertwining the relationship between the two using elevated platforms, similar to the connection between flying birds, one on the higher part of the sky and the other on the lower.
Differences in leveling are conceived with elevated bridges and ramps throughout the site.
LINKING UP The whole program and architecture and linked up with ramps and elevated bridges to further emphasize freedom in movement, as though flying in the sky.
THE WING The roof is the most significant part of the architecture as it envelopes the whole site as well as unifies the whole concept under one entity. The roof is inspired from the wing of the bird which guides the wind and sunlight into the site accordingly. The ‘feathers’ are light tubes and creeper plants hanging from the main roof structure.
THE STRUCTURE Structural system picked for the whole architecture are light-weight construction system in compliance to sustainability aspect and soil-condition aspect. The design of the structure varies from zone to zone acting as threshold for visitors of which are inspired from bird’s nest. The form of the columns are designed to imitate the avians body parts to inspire travelers as well as to be friendlier to the site.
30
THE ARCHITECTURE The architecture is aimed to present a new perspective to the people especially the bird enthusiasts and scientist as well as a structure of appreciation of human-bird relationship.

The main idea of this design is create an office that is interactive between employees and to express the brand image in its interior design, which explains the usage of industrial theme. Neon bright colors are used to differentiate distinct groups inside the IT department. Naturally manmade Working Experience
A library project during my bachelor times. The brief was to design a library which reacts to the surround context so it can be the main point where people who loves reading can gather. It is located in a park where it is surrounded by neighbouring residential houses. For the architecture part, the building is built with mostly metal and concrete and is situated directly above the lake to give off a sense of endlessness, a different kind of experience when reading. The columns are designed in such a way that it feels like walking through a forest with a lot of trees surrounding. Also the facade is an abstraction of looking at sun flare through leaves from below. The boxes are shelves for the books, directly attached to the steel columns.

The competition brief was to design a church or rather, renovate a current church into a newly, more inviting and iconic Church in its vicinity. The exact location is in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And a podium that serves as a plaza for people to gather after worship to wait for their transport or to continue socialize.

still a very new site, virgin to

A drop of harmony Competition
The competition was hosted by Kaira Looro in 2017 in Senegal, Africa. The main topic is to design a spiritual architecture in the site where draught and flood is common throughout the year. In our opinion, a spiritual architecture or space does not represent religious, instead it represents the spiritual part of the human as well as the mind. In our design, we translate it as a space for people to dwell, to think deep or even to pray for their own belief. To pray according to ones belief in a culturally rich country is a blessing in our opinion and we wish to emphasize more on this principle. The building is oriented in such a way that it welcomes people from all direction. The elevated feature also supports flood when it happens.

industrialization, mass development, the earth has been decreasing in green zone. Research has shown that the earth undergoes tremendous changes every decade. Which means by 100 years later, the earth will almost be completely foreign to our human senses. In 100 years later, our earth itself will lose quality oxygen, could not retain its current temperature for living, loss of thousands of species or even worse, extinction. The condition of the earth will be very harsh to live as the number of food is almost zero. We propose a capsule in the current time to predict, remind so that this will not happen.

The brand also gives of modern and professional vibe which is then translated into the design. The client also requested to have a bed in the director’s office so he will be able to rest during worktime and able to spend the night at the office when work piles up.

This
increases better workflow with short travel distance from the cashier to the office and shortens the time the owner has to wait when requesting beverages for his customer while having a negotiation. The office design takes a different style from the restaurant because office is in a hierarchical position, hence, I want the customers to feel that they have entered a special room once they are in.
