Vineyard Columbus Senior Pastor Rich Nathan at the Love Epidemic conference held at the church on November 9. The first-of-a-kind event focused on collaborative, faith-based solutions to the epidemic problem with opioids and other drugs, which last year claimed 4,050 lives in Ohio. Tens of thousands more lives of family members and loved ones were ripped apart by the devastating effects of heroin, fentanyl, and other addictive and deadly drugs. He said addiction gave him the “gift of desperation.” “Addiction is a life-long disease, but recovery is a life-long solution,” Kelly said. “When we have nothing to live for, it’s easy to find something to die for.”
