Clarksville Gutter Mathew Williams is from Clarksville, and he and his wife Jeanette are proud to be raising their two children Ellie and Trig in the town they grew up in. The Williams family is passionate about leading an active life. Their children are involved in their schools, and participate in activities ranging from martial arts to horseback riding and 4H. “Even with our busy lifestyle owning and operating a business, it is important to keep healthy activities growing mentally and physically,” Mathew says. Mathew tells VIP that working as a roofer and painter while attending school helped him build a foundation of hard work. He continued in that field for 10 years, however, Mathew always had a love for the military and participated in JROTC at his high school. In 2012 he was able to join the Navy as an E-3. First stationed in San Diego, through dedicated studying and hard work he moved quickly through the ranks, earning significant accolades through multiple deployments. “After an honorable discharge from my service, I had originally thought of going to school and studying marine biology. I decided to get back into work instead, and from there I had the opportunity to buy Clarksville Gutter so I took it. I decided to keep the family name and values, and I relied on the years of experience and my headstrong ability to complete any task,” continues Mathew. “The military has truly helped me get where I am today with a better understanding of myself and the world. Seeing all that is out there and

knowing that I have everything I need here with me helped mold me to manage personnel and myself.” Mathew appreciates his team, and credits them as a huge part of the company’s success saying, “With our outstanding crew, we maintain a great balance of commercial and residential work from our partnership with local home builders and homeowners alike. We do large scale commercial projects like schools and businesses, not only installing gutters and gutter guards but also exterior siding and metal trim. We even do the occasional underground drainage system. Clarksville gutter was started in 1982 and we have been involved with the company since 2001, steadily building it into what we have become today. We offer the best services across the board and stand behind our work.” “I am proud of the team we have and look forward to a continued support and service of and for the community we love and support.” Mathew is a member of the Clarksville Young Professionals, and is active in the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Better Business Bureau. He concludes by telling VIP, “I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for my wife and the community. I manage the work load and she manages the office and keeps me in tune. Together we do our best to provide for the community while making a living to be proud of.”
