Welcome to the West Florence High School 2022 football season. We are excited about the possibilities of our athletic season at West and are looking forward to your continued support of our student athletes in their comprehensive high school experience while in attendance at our school. Our administration, staff and coaches are committed to providing a challenging, supportive and caring environment where our student-athletes can reach their academic, athletic and personal potential. We expect our coaches, athletes and spectators to conduct themselves in a manner that shows respect and sportsmanship when we interact with opposing teams, coaches, fans and contest officials. WELCOME, KNIGHT FANS!
The hard work of our football players, cheerleaders, band members, volleyball players, tennis athletes, golfers, runners, coaches and support staff will be on display before your very eyes. What you might not see is the hard work our studentathletes have been putting in the classroom. Last year, our 500+ athletes averaged an astonishing 4.2 GPA. While our community service was down because of the global pandemic, we are proud of the work we have done. We are more proud of our classroom accomplishments that we are of our ninth consecutive All-Sports City championship, or our sixty-four All-Region VI Athletes. As you might have noticed, we have made a few upgrades on Beltline Drive. A renovated gym, resurfaced tennis courts, refreshed cross country trail, and what we think is the coolest football stadium in the state are symbolic of the growth we are experiencing. Everything we have done is for the benefit of the students in our school and our community. Please feel free to follow our journey on social media this year. You should also reach out to our Athletic Booster Club for information on how you can help us to continue to grow. Coach Devlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Bachelor of Art in community Health and Fitness from Coastal Carolina University. He also earned a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Coker College in 2016. He and his wife welcomed baby Hudson into their life this year.
Coach Devlin serves as the Defensive Coordinator this season. He has coached every defensive position. In his coaching career, Coach Devlin has coached several players who earned numerous post-season awards including All-State, All-Region, All-Conference recognitions. Many of his former players have gone on to play college football.
Coach Jenerette is entering his fourth season as the head football coach at West Florence. Before he came to West Florence, he served as the head coach at Aynor High School. Coach Jenerette has also been an assistant coach at Conway and Manning. He has been named the SCACA Lower State Coach of the Year on two separate occasions (2012 and 2017). Coach Jenerette was tabbed as a Shrine Bowl assistant in 2013 and a North South assistant in 2011. Coach Jenerette teaches Physical Education at West Florence High School. He and his spouse, Jill, have one child, Ruby Anna, and a niece, Jenna Richardson. They also have two nephews, Zack and Caleb Jenerette.

Football Coach David Alexander Coach Alexander is a graduate of Clemson University, he holds a Master’s Degree in Education-History and has coached and taught in public schools in South Carolina for 40 years. Coach Alexander has taught a variety of social studies courses in grades 9 through 12. He currently teaches U.S. History and serves as a Varsity Assistant FootballCoachCoach.Alexander is married (40 years) with two daughters (“grown and gone”) and one three-year-old grandson.

Coach Dixon is entering his fifth year as a Varsity Assistant Coach and JV Assistant Coach. He’s also entering his fourth year helping coach the trackCoachteam.Dixon has a three year old son, Taylen, that is his pride and joy. Coach Dixon loves impacting the lives of teens and making a difference.

Coach Dixon is a native of Florence, SC. He graduated from West Florence High School in 2013 where he played varsity football as a running back for four years.
Coach Jalin Dixon
Coach Dixon won the 2011-2012 All Region Conference and the 2011 offensive Varsity Player of the Year. In 2013, Coach Dixon attended Benedict College in Columbia, SC. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 2017. After college, Coach Dixon worked as a police officer for the City of Florence. He is currently working in Florence One as Campus Safety.
Coach Alex Holbrooks Coach Holbrooks is entering his seventh year at West Florence and eighth year as an athletic trainer. Originally from Seneca, SC, he graduated from Winthrop University with a BS in Athletic Training. Before joining the staff at McLeod, he worked as the athletic trainer at a 6A school in Gulfport, MS. He is passionate about the work he does keeping the athletes healthy and playing their sport. Coach Holbrooks also holds certifications from the NCSA and USA weightlifting committee. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kendall and visiting South Carolina State Parks.Coach Bowman Hiller Coach Hiller is in his second year of coaching at West Florence. Before coaching the linebackers here, he was a quarterback and team captain for the Knights. He is a graduate of Clemson University.

Coach Page is entering his seventh season as the offensive coordinator/QB coach at West Florence. Before Coach Page came to West Florence, he served as the head football coach and athletic director at Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, SC, and the head football coach at Wilson High School here in Florence. At Lower Richland, Coach Page led the Diamond Hornets to their first football playoff appearance victory in ten years. While at Wilson, he won three region championships, ten Florence City Championships, made 14 appearances in the State Playoffs, and won the SC AAA State Championship in 2007.
Coach Page also has a daughter, Brittany (34).
Coach Page teaches African-American literature and English 3. He and his spouse, Angel, have two children - Jalen (24) and Kerian (21).

Football Coach Braxton Ivery Coach Ivery is from Florence, SC, and attended Wilson High School. After graduating from Wilson, he furthered his football career at Newberry College. Coach Ivery ended his college career with helping the football team win the 2016 SAC Conference, before graduating with a degree in Sport Management. Coach Ivery is our Wide Receivers Coach.
Coach Perk is a 2002 West Florence High School graduate. After graduation, he attended Coastal Carolina University on a full athletic scholarship where he played for the Chanticleers on the inaugural football team. Immediately after college, Perkins began his coaching career at North Myrtle Beach High School where he coached running backs. From 2010-2015, he returned to West Florence as an assistant football coach and finished as the defensive coordinator. In 2015, Perkins became the head football coach and athletic director at Hannah-Pamplico High School. Perkins served as an assistant coach for Darlington High School in 2016. Perkins returned to West Florence in 2017 and is the head softball coach and defensive line/assistant coach for the PerkinsKNIGHTS.andhis wife Jade live in Florence with their three childrenJayAun (14), Jhani (12), and Jax (6).

Jordyn Kieffer, Varsity Cheer Coach Coach Keiffer has had a long career in cheering, from elementary school through her senior year in high school. Along with cheering for her schools, she was also a competitive cheerleader for over six years.

Warren Coker, Volleyball Coach
Coach Coker is in his fifth year at West Florence High School where he teaches Physical Education/Health. He is beginning his 23rd year as an educator and his 29th year as a coach. This season will mark his 23rd year of coaching women’s volleyball and his seventh year of coaching men’s tennis. In the past, he has also coached softball, basketball, and football. He currently serves on the South Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports Executive Board and has for 18 years. Over the last 16 years, Coach Coker has served as the Volleyball Chairperson for South Carolina where he oversees the North/South Volleyball All-Star Matches. Coach Coker received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina and his Masters of Science in College Athletic Administration from Coker College.

Coach Richard Wideman Coach Wideman has coached XC for 15 years and track for 18 years. He has also coached soccer and wrestling during his career and is currently a Social Studies teacher at West Florence HighCoachSchool.Wideman has been married to Lori for 25 years and they have two children, Nate and Oliva.

Coach Dale is entering his fourth season as the assistant girl’s golf coach at West Florence. Before Coach Dale started assisting the girl’s golf program at West Florence, he served as an assistant football coach at West Florence for one year and as an assistant football coach at Sneed Middle for six years. He has also been a Jr. Beta Club sponsor at Sneed Middle school. Mr. Dale is currently teaching Algebra 1 Honors and eighth grade Pre-Algebra at Sneed.
Coach Wegmann is entering his seventh season as the girl’s golf coach at West Florence. Before Coach Wegmann coached the golf team, he also coached football and track at West Florence. At his previous school, Coach Wegmann taught and mentored at a behavior school named Choices Charter School. Coach Wegmann teaches AP Human Geography at West Florence High School. He and his spouse, Jessica, just celebrated their eleven-year anniversary.
