Northlake Christian School is a unique private non-denominational school on the Northshore that offers a high quality education for students six weeks old - twelfth grade. Our mission is to partner with Christian families as we lead students in examining the world around them from a Biblical perspective - viewing science, the arts, language, history, and so much more through the lens of scripture.

Our Elementary School welcomes students PreK4 - 6th grade. The PreK4 Cottage encourages students to learn through play under the caring instruction of our seasoned teachers. Curriculum focuses on Biblical integration in every subject, phonics, logical thinking, and reading skills that are designed to prepare them to be lifelong learners. Jr. Kindergarten is geared towards older 4 year olds and younger 5 year olds that just want a strong foundation before entering Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students focus on critical thinking and problem solving through grammar, math, science, and history. Third grade - sixth grade engage in extracurricular activities in athletics, the arts, and technology. Each encourages character development, social interaction and leadership. With an emphasis on writing and research skills, Northlake Lower School students as a whole develop the tools they need to cultivate habits of academic engagement, Christcentered inquiry, and community involvement.

The ultimate goal of the Secondary School is to equip each and every student for academic success and the call of God in their lives as they step out into careers and continued education. Whether that be in Junior High for 7th and 8th grade, or in High School for 9th - 12th, the desire of our faculty is to lead students beyond knowledge to wisdom by challenging them to Think Critically - Lead Courageously - and Serve Faithfully. Throughout 7th - 12th grade, students have access to a full-time college counselor for individual advising. Northlake is committed to intentionally setting each student up for success by partnering with parents to find the perfect economical, educational, and social fit for each student after graduation.

Administration has made it a priority to offer a wide variety of Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement courses to High School students in 9th - 12th grade. Beyond the realm of core classes, Secondary students have the opportunity to pursue fine arts in vocal and instrumental music, dance, theater, and visual arts. Our faculty forms personal relationships with students at all academic levels through advisory groups, weekly chapel, service projects, and Bible studies. Northlake has so much to be proud of as a community. Beyond the scope of the traditional classroom setting, Northlake Christian has a Discovery Center that provides distinctive academic options for students with individual education needs. The Discovery Center offers a range of programs and services specifically designed to help students succeed in all areas of academics. From one-on-one tutoring to intensive classes designed to strategically build independence and confidence in the classroom, each distinctive academic program is built on a partnership between the parents and Northlake to ensure the appropriate and successful program accommodation to meet the needs of the individual student.

We invite you to spend time getting to know our people, our campus, and our programs; we believe you will find a community striving for excellence in all we do.
