Once YOU have a system YOU will see the results YOU are looking for. YOU need a 7 step “program” you can apply each day towards your career The ONLY question you need to ask YOUSELF do you have the passion and the means to do this
The “secret” successful actors, models and musicians all share, what are they doing that YOU ARE NOT and if YOU knew this secret then all you would have to do is follow their steps….. YOU need to know the “mistakes” people make when trying to get started (everyone makes at least one)

STEP #1 What EXACTLY do you want to pursue What is YOUR talent…. DO you have unique looks or are you bursting with personality
Are you a poet or a writer, is music all you think about? Do you write music (YOUTUBE and its FREE)
YOU can NOT tackle the WORLD the first go around But maybe YOU could model and do some acting OR pursue music and book a modeling gig or a TV spot
What is YOUR day like, are you home wishing – is your “job” in the business or are you a bartender
While on SET you could meet that one person who could change YOUR life
Are you trying to be a intern at a record label or work for a designer or a production company 24/7 YOU need to be pushing the rock UP the hill…..
STEP #2 LIST ALL YOUR SUPPORTERS and LIST everyone WHO is there for YOU (there is a difference) IF you really want to do something, you can not push this rock up the hill alone. If you have children, who is helping you babysit, while your on a casting or an audition. YOU don’t drive – who is YOUR ride? (what if last minute “something came up and they left you hanging) YOU got a flat tire, left your wallet at home, who would you call to lend you money in a jam. YOU need 30 people who SEE the dream just like YOU in your life. (SEE the difference between a supporter and someone who will help you without question Anyone who does not see the world like YOU, you need to limit your ties, it is hard – when I first started…. my OWN parents didn’t even share my vision, I had to work really hard to prove them wrong. I had to figure it OUT all alone.
NOW YOU HAVE A LIST DIVIDE IT INTO 2… ONE SIDE PEOPLE WHO CAN HELP (car, financially, mentor in the business) vs people who are just “emotionally” there for you. (YOU don’t these people)*#1 mistake we all make!!
STEP #3 LIST WHAT YOU KNOW AND DON’T KNOW RIGHT NOW AT THIS MOMENT MAYBE YOU DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO EVEN START. WELL GUESS WHAT…. >>>>IS IT BETTER. TO BE A PERSON WHO KNOWS NOTHING OR BE A PERSON WHO ONE DAY SAYS….. WAIT I REALIZE I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING
>>>THIS IS A HUGE STEP<<< BECAUSE IF YOU DON’T KNOW YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AND SEE IT…………… ……HOW COULD YOU FIX IT Make a list – do you have headshots – know where to get them, acting skills, SAG, AFTRA, Working Papers, Trust Fund, Producers, Recording Studios, Castings, Networking, Demos Press Kit manager, agent…….the list goes on and on…..Academy award winning actors make a list everyday – so YOU should be also……..most items THAT you need to know to be in this business, guess what you probably don’t even know them YET! (called being in the dark)
STEP #4 LET GO OF MTYHS AND BAD ADVICE
TALENT WHO HOLD THEIR HAND OUT FOR FREE PICTURES OR FREE ADVICE OR POST PICTURES ON FREE SITES…REALIZE… THINK WHY IS IT FREE.
REMEMBER: THIS IS… A BUSINESS, DON’T BE ENTITILED!!! Want to FLY with the Eagles don’t swim with the…… Never take advice from the “emotional person” unless they are in the business, how can they advise you. Would a car mechanic be a good Doctor if you were sick
STEP #5 Always surround yourself with a “action” always move forward
Do not wait for PERFECTION, you will never get started. Being in this business means you are always growing and learning, it will never stop. People may see you as a expert one day by stopping you on the street “OMG” aren’t you so and so….from that band or show or on the cover of such and such That does not mean YOU stop growing……what can YOU do today….read about the business….meet people in the business…work on YOUR professional brand online, practice everyday!
STEP #6 Be a GREAT 5 star listener….just ask questions about the other person, don’t JUST talk about YOURSELF.
The greatest person in the world is the person who listens and ask questions about others. Think about that….ever notice the person that you remember at a party is the person WHO showed interest in YOU, what do you do for a living or what a great outfit, what made you pick that color it is really awesome, as a director or a photographer what is your favorite topic you like to shoot……get it Make the conversation about the person YOUR talking to and suddenly YOU become the person they remember, that cant quite place why, but something about them was perfect for my next project.
STEP #7 INVEST in YOURSELF and in Quality services or IDEAS or PRODUCTS that will benefit YOU directly….. Did YOU ever get something in the mail for FREE and what usually happens to the item….gets thrown away. Right? See in LIFE when a person has a investment in something they take it seriously. Say you attend Julliard or a college for acting, is a good example….when YOU put time and money into something YOU will want a return, to get something back, a education leads to a better job and more money and a better life. Photos for a model could mean more bookings and so forth…… Never LET investing in YOURSELF stop YOU from having a better life…..
