would like to start off by giving a big thank you to Dean, Ann and everyone who helped out and came to the Motor Gathering! We had 74 amazing club Porsches parked on the track and with everybody’s help VIRPCA was awarded with Best Car Club Display. One of our members also won best sports car and best German car!
I would also like to thank everyone who came out for the Gold River Run. I hope everybody had as much fun as I did navigating the twists and bends. Unfortunately, on the way home my clutch pressure plate decided it was time for it to be replaced. My car is at Peter’s right now getting ready for a new clutch, pressure plate and IMS bearing. The die-cast Boxster I have sitting in the garage right now is just not the same!
I am getting excited looking ahead at the events coming up in September. We have the New Member Luncheon. This is a great event for all members new and old to get together or meet new friends. Please let John know if you will be attending. One of my favorite drives is the Port Renfrew Loop. Michael will once again be leading us through the drive. If you have not had the chance to drive this road yet please do not miss the chance and let Michael know you would like to attend.

t is great that we won the Best Car Club award at the Motor gathering recently, I was there and experienced the Motor Gathering for the first time. Even though I have been to the track quite a few times, this one was different due to the fact it was more of a social event—many people with a common love of automobiles gathered to check out all the vehicles on display from the rare and exotic to maybe the more mundane, but still precious to the person that brought it to the event. If you did not attend this year, mark your calendar for next year—August 26th and let’s keep the Best Car Club award in 2018! Please note that there is a new column this month, covering web forums. Not much there yet, but please send me your forum name and it’s URL so others can enjoy it too. You may find that extra bit of information in one of them that you didn’t know before! The next issue will be published at the end of October, as my wife and I enjoy a vacation soon.

ach year PCA recognizes the charitable and fund raising efforts made by individual Regions. Awards and honorable mention are handed out during the Victory Banquet, on the last night of Parade, PCA’s national annual gathering. I attended this year’s Parade in Spokane Washington. When they announced Vancouver Island Region as the first recipient of an honourable mention, I can say that I was truly thrilled! Following is what was said about us, for which we can all be very proud!
Brad Blaney Past President
”We are proud to say that this year there were a large number of region submissions for consideration for the Public Service Awards competition. This evening we would like to highlight not only our 3 winners but 3 additional Regions that have made significant contributions to their communities and therefore receive honorable mention. The first of these Regions receiving an honorable mention raised over $19,000. 2016 marked their 20th anniversary. This Region held 3 charity events. They were Black Rock, Chili Challenge-Cook-Off and Porsches-Helping-Pets. Those events supported Vancouver Island charities “Tour-de-Rock” Cops-For-Cancer, Ucluelet Volunteer Fire Brigade, BC-SPCA and Westshore Food Bank Society. One of their smaller, but significant donations was $760 for the BC-SPCA. The funds were collected in 2 parts. The first was the Comox Valley Cars & Coffee with 25 members attending, the second part was a silent auction and S.P.C.A. donation boxes available at our A.G.M./Year End Luncheon on Sunday November 20, at Villa Eyrie Resort with 60 members in attendance. The towels and blankets were delivered to the Comox Valley SPCA a few days after the event, and a $760 presentation cheque will be delivered to the SPCA after their December 10th monthly Cars-&-Coffee. This first time this event was held and it will be repeated in 2017." Congratulations, and a cheque from National for $250, to the Vancouver Island Region”

re you the current or former owner (or lessee) of a Porsche with a beige interior? Have you noticed that the glare coming off the dash is absolutely horrible? Did you go out and buy polarized sunglasses just so you can see out of your car on a sunny day? If so, you’re not alone. In fact, there’s been an entire class-action lawsuit over it, and if you don’t act now, you’ll miss your opportunity to be compensated for those sunglasses. The settlement was actually proposed in December of last year, but we didn’t find out about it until just recently. It applies to owners or lessees who have or had any 2007–2016 Porsche with a Cognac, Luxor Beige, Natural Brown, Platinum Grey, or Sand Beige dashboard. If you bought sunglasses or made other modifications to your car to reduce the glare, you can get between $50 and $175 in compensation from the German automaker. According to the aptly named DashboardGlareClassAction.com, though, you’re running out of time to get your money from Porsche. Claims for sunglasses reimbursement have to be submitted by September 21 2017. The deadline for other claims isn’t until June 25, 2018. As CarComplaints reports, the owners who originally brought the lawsuits claimed the bright glare was a safety issue. Porsche, meanwhile, said that there were no reports of owners who stopped driving their cars because of the issue, nor had anyone suffered an injury or measurable loss. To avoid a costly court battle, all parties agreed to settle. Of course, maybe the biggest lesson here is just to avoid beige cars.

irst, a confession, I vacuum carpets, I don’t “shampoo” carpets. We don’t drink anything more staining than water in our vehicles and if on long road trips we do have a snack in the car (rather than pull into a rest stop to eat and stretch our legs), there’s only a few crumbs to vacuum up — no mustard stains. The carpets in our two Porsches are protected with Porsche carpet mats in the summers and the Porsche rubber mats in the winter - both vehicles have carpets and mats that look new. With those caveats out of the way, the WeatherTech product I was given to review was the TechCare Carpet Cleaner with SpotTech. The container describes it as a “spray on, wipe away formula”. The instructions are simple. Rather than make it easy for the product, I decided to choose a well-experienced piece of carpet. Shown above is the driver-side floor mat of a 1984 5-series BMW which I describe as synthetic with an impermeable backing. I took delivery of this car in September of 1984 and it has had a full life as a daily-driver, winter ski transporter and in more recent years, more gently used hobby / car meet vehicle. Although the carpets underneath are perfect, this mat has suffered the abuse of 33 years of driving. The rectangle you can see in the top right is where the plastic heel rest was originally sewn to the mat. It recently disintegrated so I removed it. The pile of the mat where the pad was located is noticeably taller. There are also obvious wear marks around the perimeter. This photo was taken after the mat had been thoroughly vacuumed. The bottle instructions say “for large areas to spray over entire area and scrub with a brush or clean cloth” - I chose a brush. The instructions also suggest to “use a wet-dry vacuum for a more thorough cleaning”. As in my opinion the mat was quite dirty I chose to spray, scrub, vacuum and repeated the steps without letting the mat first dry to see if one treatment would have been sufficient, therefore I may have wasted some product unnecessarily. Total active cleaning time was less than 15 minutes.
PORSCHER — SEPTEMBER 2017
Page 15
The finished cleaned mat, after drying, is shown below right, because of the slightly higher pile, the rectangle is still visible and some wear marks around the edges of the former plastic pad are visible, but the overall consistency of the colour of the mat surprised me suggesting that the imbedded dirt had been quite thoroughly lifted by the surfactants in the product.
In conclusion, I used about 40% of the 15 fl oz (443 ml) bottle on this mat and given the condition of the other mats (passenger and rear) in the vehicle there is more than enough remaining to complete the job. For spot cleaning, the bottle should last for a long time. The bottle notes that use “enhances anti-staining properties of carpets”. It seems to me that even if no visible soiling is noticeable it may be prudent to give the carpets a spray, blot and vacuum each spring to help carpet keep looking new. For me, it’s clear regular vacuuming isn’t enough, I’ll buy this product.

organized the 2nd annual Porsches Helping Pets on Saturday August 12th to raise cash donations & towels/linens for the BC SPCA. 33 members attended from Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Gabriola Island, Qualicum Beach, Comox Valley and Campbell River, including 2 very new members and their spouses. Plus, 2 Porsche owners, who were thinking about joining the club. The day started with the usual 2nd Saturday of the month Cars & Coffee, followed by a drive to Point Holmes for pictures, 40 Knots Estate Winery for wine tasting, then lunch & auction in the Atrium Room, Crown Isle Resort. I was thrilled to report that $1,615 was raised from donations directly to the SPCA boxes and from bids received on the 20 auctions items. I gathered those from Black Rock 2017, Crown Isle Resort, Get West Adventure Cruises, Mount Washington Alpine Resort, 40 Knots Estate Winery, Porsche Canada, Ltd., Porsche Centre, Victoria, RIBA Detailing Perfection, Terrace Beach Resort, VIR and 2 VIR members. The Executive supported my application to PCA for their Charity/Public Service Subsidy of $450, so our GRAND TOTAL donation to the SPCA, will be $2,065. Last year we raised $760, my goal this year was $911. With the attendance we had and the generous donations from our sponsors listed above, we blew that right out of the water, THANK YOU. On August 17th, I dropped off to the SPCA, 100 lbs. of towel/linen donations that I received at the event, they were amazed and thrilled. Today I picked up 23 bags of towels/linens, weighing 1,100 lbs. from Crown Isle Resort. I had called them at the beginning of this project. It turned out they were in the process of replacing their towels/linens, and were very happy to have me pick them up and take to the SPCA. A total of 1,200 lbs. of towels/linens have been donated to the SPCA. One of our local radio stations, “The Eagle” dropped by the Cars & Coffee, and asked me for a quick interview. I had great support from the “Comox Valley Record”, and advertised this event in both their “7 Days or more” column and an article and picture in the Sports Section. That brought quite a few members of the public to visit with our members, enjoy looking at our shiny Porsches and donate $ and towels. “Rocky Mtn. Chocolate”, new to the C.I. Plaza visited us with some samples their delicious chocolate, just as we were leaving on our tour. I thank Henning, Gerhard, Geordie, and Gary for taking pictures and sending them to me

e had a great drive to Gold River on August 5th. Ten Porsche’s departed from Chevron in Campbell River to have lunch at The Ridge Restaurant. Despite more traffic than usual the drive was a lot of fun. The road to Gold River has had a lot of repairs done and is in good condition. After lunch the group had a parade through town before heading home.

We did it - VIRPCA was awarded the Best Car Club Display at the 2017 Motor Gathering on Sunday August 27th at the VIMC. This meant we had the most cars attending affiliated to a car club. The Corvette Club won last year (we didn’t enter as a club) and this year we counted that they had around 50 cars, however our cars easily surpassed them with an impressive parade of 74 cars with 98 participants! (84 including replicas and non-club Porsches). This award comes with a half day at the VIMC track. Details of this will be shared once worked out. Ann and Dean Aikenhead organised the event, with some minor help from myself and Brad at the track. Thanks to generous donations we had, coffee and doughnuts from Tim Horton's thanks to Porsche Centre Victoria, two coolers full of frozen water bottles supplied by RIBA Detailing Perfection and a light lunch of sandwiches, chips and water that was from VIRPCA. We met at the North Cowichan Municipal Hall car park and left ordered oldest to newest car, with Dean and Ann in the lead and sweep cars. After a while queuing to get in to the track, we all parked in an area that we were assigned as a club, in the bottom left corner of the track at the end of the Pit Lane, which was very handy as we were pretty close to the Clubhouse and other attractions going on around it. Everyone’s car looked shiny, very well looked after and great all together sweeping around that curve. I think we had lots of visitors looking at the variety of cars on display from old 356 and 914s to 911, Boxsters, Caymans and Macans. Brad had organised a prize draw with merchandise from Porsche Cars of North America, Porsche Centre Victoria and some donated by members.
We all had to wait until around 2pm when it was announced over the PA system that we had been given the car club award (see picture above), which Dean collected from the Clubhouse, all the VIRPCA members at the track were thrilled to get the award and rightly so. Dean asks that if you are a club member that participated in the VIMG, please ensure you email him at deanwa@me.com so he can confirm the club members that participated in the event. Overleaf are some photos of the event taken by myself and Wyman Lee.

n life, a lot of experiences come full circle. Back in the days when I sold Volkswagens, Porsches and Audis in Ottawa (70’s), new car orders were delivered to all parts of the world. Ottawa being the hub for military, government, embassy and diplomatic personnel, many buyers were stationed in many different countries. Some of those people chose to pick up their new cars right at the overseas factories where they were manufactured. As part of my sales role I was eager to undertake the administration of processing many such orders from start to finish. I have been a Porsche enthusiast since my late teens and a proud owner of several Porsches since 1985. A while ago, I sat at the computer and proceeded to “build” a custom 2017 718 Porsche Cayman just for fun. Not expecting to check off this box on my “bucket list”, I was pleasantly surprised at the pricing and to learn that Porsche still offered European Collection at no extra charge! With the mantra “you can’t take it with you” resonating in my head I gleefully pressed “Send”. The “build” date was confirmed and the pickup date in Liepzig Germany had been set for May 30 th 2017. Next, book the flight and the adventure was on. So the speed yellow 911 Carrera with the GT3 lookalike kit was sold and is back on the Mainland…..had to make room in the garage. It became a popular commodity in its last 4 days with lots of interest. Saturday May 27th 6:30 a.m. “Rise n’ Shine” its travel day! Boarded Lufthansa flight out of Vancouver 6:30 p.m. local time, landing in Munich 4:50 a.m. No sleep, deep rest at best. Had to hustle through the airport terminal, which was huge, to get to our gate for our final jaunt to our destination of Leipzig Germany. A shuttle bus took us from the gate to Terminal #2 where our plane waited on the tarmac. With no time to spare, were up and away touching down in Leipzig at what was now 6:40 a.m. our time. Having only taken ‘‘carry on” size luggage, we opted to take the commuter train to the city and disembarked right in the centre of the “old town” via the Market Station not more than one block from our hotel, the Steigenberger Grand (one night complimentary courtesy of Porsche) and checked in around 7:15 a.m. (12+ hrs in). So fabulous & luxurious!! Refreshed, we headed out just across a large cobblestone plaza to a restaurant called SPIZZ to enjoy a beautiful morning patio meal. You can take the “boy” out of Canada but not the “Canadian” out of the boy. I was in my glory to find “SPIZZ Toast” on the menu a.k.a. breakfast sandwich! Dianne had more of a German fare, sausage, kraut and potatoes…..delicious! We spent the rest of the day exploring the old town core, so much history. Very engaging and beautiful. Canada is such a “youngster”. Finally hit the pillow hard at what was now 12:00 a.m. May 29 th B.C. time, 9:00 p.m. Leipzig 29 ½ hours after we boarded the plane. We slept in until 11:00 a.m., our new time, Monday the 29 th and had a leisurely day enjoying more of Leipzig’s grandeur. Tuesday May 30th Leipzig Neither of us slept very deeply, anticipating our “big day”, I expect. Buzz, buzz, 5:45 alarm, at breakfast by 6:30 a.m. An SUV and driver, dispatched by Porsche, picked us up at our hotel @ 8:00 a.m. There was a father and son from Pennsylvania, USA, staying at the same hotel, who joined us as they were also picking up a brand spanking new 718 Cayman at the factory! PORSCHER — SEPTEMBER 2017
Page 26
We were brought right to the front door of the Porsche Customer Service Centre, a beautiful building and were treated to a lovely reception. In all there we 10 of us, ourselves, the father and son and three other couples all beaming with delight in anticipation of the “reveal” of our chosen models. We were offered beverages and appetizers in a comfortable lounge setting. Each of us was provided with a small locker to secure our personal belongings. Our personal representative’s name was Patrick. 1st order of business had him take me to a waiting demo 718 Cayman to run numerous laps on their motor circuit /track to familiarize myself with the handling and capabilities of the 718. Livin’ the dream! Dianne then joined us, and Patrick took us for an expedition ride on their “off road” track in a Porsche Cayenne. Great fun! Quite the experience. There were wild horses, free range cattle and newly introduced bee hives on that section of the 110 acres Porsche owns in Saxony where the factory is. Back inside to the Customer Service Centre for our big “reveal”. The car looks ggrreeaatt and the “racing yellow” color nailed it! The yellow instrument panel and yellow seatbelts are very complimentary. Patrick spent as much time as needed, going over every aspect of the car. He was very personable. Then, the signing of the required documentation and of the ownership transfer papers. Included in the “Overseas Collection” pkg. is 16 days of insurance and licensing to drive in Europe. I am a pretty happy guy!!! The group reassembled at 11:00 a.m. for the factory tour. The logistics of producing 650 cars, all different models, colors and options, each and every day is incredulous. The factory is “state of the art” employing 5300 employees, 4100 Porsche, 1200 subcontractors. The factory was spotless, surprisingly quiet and needless to say extremely efficient. The plant runs 24/7 Sunday evening to Saturday morning with 2 week summer and 2 week Christmas/New year shutdowns as well as being closed on all stat holidays. There is an employee benefit program and they offer full auto mechanical trade apprenticeships. Tour finished, we were treated to a very fine chef prepared meal, with all the finesses, in the stylish in house restaurant. Ohhh, the “high life”! Then time to drive off…… Equipped with a loaner GPS, programmed for navigation in Europe, we head back to Leipzig. We were sporting some pretty big smiles as we pulled up to the valet parking in front of our hotel. Though they see many expensive sport cars, we were sure that ours was special!! PORSCHER — SEPTEMBER 2017
Page 27
The remainder of our holiday was amazing, touring Germany and staying with special friends in the small town of Unterrlangenegg Switzerland, near Thun, whom I met in a campground back in the 1980’s while on a road trip across the United States. They had shipped over their Volkswagen Westfalia to the US on their own 6 month trek thru North America. It has been restored to perfect running order, and they still own it to this day! Switzerland is a stunningly beautiful country. We saw so many other wonderful places, Jena, Konstanz, Bern, Thun, Interlaken, Stockhorn, Lautenbach, Oppenau and Breisach on the Rhein . Sunday June 11th Our final drive brought us to Sindelfingen, a suburb of Stuttgart. There, we were very fortunate to experience a “car & coffee” event at the Mercedes museum which was a show n’ shine for the exotic, rare and expensive! Within the confines were a Bentley, McLaren, Lamborghini, and other “out of this world” dealerships. Not to mention the many, many cars which were displayed as part of the museum collection. It was then time to drop the car off at an authorized transportation brokerage company which facilitated the shipment of the car to Canada. Thanks Salvadore (broker) for making it painless J Expected arrival 6-8 weeks. We took the train to Stuttgart airport where we stayed overnight at the amazing Movenpick Hotel. Hard to say “goodbye” but looked forward to crusin’ the highways and byways on our side of the “pond”. It’s a great “ride”!!!! The car arrived at the Porsche Victoria, B.C. dealership on Tuesday August 15th and after the pre-delivery inspection, a clay bar treatment and a detailing we picked the car up on Saturday August 19th. Kudos to the great team there for their exceptional service and support PORSCHER — SEPTEMBER 2017

Tyson, Adam, Jason and Matt...really do a great job. Tyson takes the time to explain ...intricate details that a lot of guys would hurry or not even cover. n this issue I’m going to cover cleaning glass and glass treatments.
Cleaning windows was, believe it or not, the toughest thing for me to learn to do right the first time, every time, and there are lots of little “gotchas”. You can't do it in the sun (the window cleaner dries too fast and leaves streaks). Any dirt on a towel has a tendency to jump back onto the glass leaving streaks. If a window is particularly dirty it will take a few passes to get it clean. Streaks are often not visible when the car is inside, but they become clear as day in bright sunlight or when driving under street lights. It can be frustrating at times. Everyone seems to have their own method. I'll share mine with you.
By Bill Elwell
The glass is always the last thing I clean. If I'm going to be polishing or waxing the car, I won't clean the glass until I'm done waxing and applying any other products to the car. Other products that you apply to the car will almost always find their way onto the glass, so I save cleaning it for last. For equipment and chemicals, I use 3 things. For a window cleaner at home I use Griot's Window Cleaner and at the shop I use Meguiar's Glass Cleaner. Don't use cleaners with ammonia, they are not window tint safe. The second item I use is dedicated window towels. At home I use Griot's microfiber glass cleaning cloths. Griot's recently added PFM Dual Weave Glass Towels but I haven't tried them. At the shop I use blue huck glass cleaning towels. Blue huck towels are actually used in surgical procedures but they work really well for glass too. Some folks just use microfiber towels while other swear by newsprint and those probably work for them. Just remember, if you make the mistake of drying your towels with a fabric softener, you’ll probably find that those towels leave streaks on your windows. My final tool is a GlassMaster Pro (see the picture). For an old guy like me, reaching the bottom of front windshields and many back windows is pretty awkward. If you've ever owned a 944 then you know that cleaning the inside back hatch glass is a ridiculous exercise in physical contortion. But the GlassMaster makes it all easy. The GlassMaster isn’t perfect but for awkward reaches, it’s great. Now for the process. On the exterior windows I use two window towels. Liberally spray half a windshield or a side window with window cleaner. Wipe the area with one of the towels. The object is to spread the window cleaner and dissolve the dirt on the window. Before the window dries completely, take the second towel and wipe the area dry. Flip the towels to a new section every time so you don't use the same part twice. Inside I use a similar process, but for awkward reaches I use the GlassMaster with the yellow terry bonnet instead of a wiping towel. I try to avoid spraying large amounts of window cleaner all over the interior of the car, so if necessary I spray the glass towel or GlassMaster yellow bonnet liberally with window cleaner and wipe down the section of window I'm cleaning. While the glass is still damp I'll use a glass towel to wipe it dry, or if the piece of glass is difficult to reach, I'll swap heads on the GlassMaster and use the blue bonnet to dry the section I'm working on. Some windows are just so PORSCHER — SEPTEMBER 2017

dirty that you just have to spray the cleaner directly and even then it takes a couple passes to get things clean. OK, this is going to sound excessive but I'll share it anyway. If I'm having problems getting rid of some streaks it's really helpful if I know if the streak is on the inside or outside of the glass. So when I dry the outside glass I wipe up and down. The inside glass gets dried by wiping left to right. As soon as I see a streak on the glass, I know if it’s inside or out. Now what about water spots? Yes, water spots on dark tinted glass looks terrible. There are a few different ways to attack those spots. First, you can grab some of your abrasive car polish that I’ll cover a few issues from now and use the buffer and polish on the window. It’s not optimal but It works. Griots makes glass polish and special glass polishing pads for their buffers. That stuff works too. There are lots of other glass polishes out there. I’m guessing that they all work to one degree or another. But the best stuff I’ve come across is a glass polish that was given to me by a customer who got it from a local glass shop. That stuff is fast and easy. I’m sorry, I don’t have a brand name right now. I’ll try and include it in the next issue. But you might try one or two of your local glass shops to see what they use to remove hard water spots. Finally, let’s chat about glass treatments. What are glass treatments? Rain-X was the original “glass treatment”. Others have popped up over the years. Products like this claim to improve visibility in precipitation and to make it easier to remove snow, ice, dirt, and bugs from the windshield. Some have claimed that above 30 – 40 MPH, you can drive in the rain without using your wipers. When the treatment is fresh on the glass, these claims are largely correct. How do I know? Well, running the wipers on my F-150 creates a sound like rocks in a blender. So until I have the time to replace the offending parts, I’m using glass treatments to minimize how much I run the wipers.
How does it work? Because of their molecular arrangement, glass and water are attracted to each other. The result is that when a drop of water hits a piece of glass it spreads out and sticks to the glass. The result is that you can’t see clearly through wet glass. Glass treatments have chemicals that bond to the glass and turn your windshield into a hydrophobic surface. A hydrophobic surface will repel water. Drops of water bead up and roll off the glass rather easily. Manufacturers claim that their products last about 3 months. My personal experience is that unless you clean the windshield every week or more, the product life is more like a few weeks rather than a few months and that seems consistent with others’ experiences I’ve read online. My biggest issue with this type of product happens when there is just a tiny bit left on the windshield. When driving at night, the wipers leave a trail behind them that creates glare from the street lights and, for a brief moment, blocks visibility out of the windshield.
I don’t like to use these old school glass treatments because of their short life and the night visibility issues I’ve experienced. There is a new class of product on the market now that claims to last about a year. It’s an off-shoot of the ceramic/polymer paint coatings that have popped up over the past few years. I recently applied it to my F-150. Does it last longer than the original class of treatment? Yes. But the same thing hold true. If you let the windshield get dirty the performance goes away until you clean it. Thankfully, cleaning it is as easy as hosing it off. Thanks for reading. tart Planning! On October 15, we have our annual Chili Challenge Cook Off! It takes place during the lunch break at our Autocross at Western Speedway, 2207 Millstream Road in Langford. I’ll be bringing a large pot of chili to feed the racers and spectators for a charitable donation to support the West Shore Food Bank. Despite my repeated defeats, I still believe my recipe is the best! So if you want to challenge my claim, cook up a batch of your best chili and bring it to the track and be ready to serve it around noon. Last year we had six competitors.
Please let me know if you want to enter the fray, so I know how hard to try! pastpresident@virpca.org. Besides support for the food bank and bragging rights, there is a trophy!

n Sunday July 30th in Duncan, RIBA Detailing Perfection hosted a Tech Event to demonstrate their techniques and processes when performing detailing on clients’ cars (or boats). Owner, Dr. Richard Walton is very passionate about detailing and because of his chemical and engineering background, knows exactly how metals, plastics, paints, leather and glass etc behave and what is required to clean, restore and protect them. We had around 35 club members attend the event and RIBA provided a light BBQ lunch and refreshments. They also awarded a $250 gift certificate to 2 randomly selected attendees and a $1000 grand prize certificate to Ann Aikenhead whose name was picked out by Richard who told us that she was absolutely thrilled to win. Some club members (including myself) have already used RIBA services and can testify to the great results that they produce. It is pretty amazing to see the before and after condition of the bodywork under a magnifier when the work is complete.
Please note that Club members receive 25% off RIBA’s prices! See their advert in this issue for contact information.
