The West of England is a vibrant and creative region with two thriving cities in Bristol and Bath surrounded by wonderful countryside and thriving towns and villages. We have a highly-skilled population and are a renowned hot spot for tourism. The cultural and recreational opportunities here are endless and I’m proud of our beautiful green spaces and iconic landmarks. Our region is steeped in history and centuries-old heritage, from the Roman Baths to Concorde and Brunel’s SS Great Britain. We have so much to offer event planners, nationally and internationally, with over 100 state-of-theart event spaces, from spectacular galleries and museums to corporate venues and conference suites. It is this diverse feature of our region that attracts a huge variety of businesses and I am keen to strengthen and raise the profile of the West of England as a cultural and visitor destination to ensure prosperity for the future.
