New Businesses
ABSTRACT STUDIO
Abstract Studio is a community-based crafting studio located in Butler. Their studio offers walk-in studio time and specialty classes such as macrame and canvas painting. Classes are offered for all ages with tailored activities for kids, teens, and adults. Abstract Studio also has a gallery space that will feature local artists and is open to the public.
BREW MONKEY
Brew Monkey is Evans City’s first and only brewery serving up local craft brews, cocktails, and their own signature seltzer. The brewery hosts weekly trivia nights and often has food trucks parked outside. Additionally, they serve up small bites including house-made rice bowls, and soft pretzels with beer cheese. Check them out on Main Street.
BUTLER COFFEE LAB
This new business in Butler is dedicated to providing a supportive working environment for people within the disabled community. Partnering with local businesses and boutiques, the Coffee Lab creates single-serve beverage pods called Hot Pods that contain infrared-roasted premium coffee and high-grade teas and lemon drinks.
PENN THEATER
The Penn Theater’s revitalizing renovation has allowed the historic playhouse to make a strong impression on opening night. Since 1991, the once very popular venue rarely opened its doors before being given another chance in 2022. Now, with new owners and completed renovations, the theater will host live performances and provide a unique nightlife to Butler.
LA VIGNETA WINERY
The PA winery scene boasts quite a few spots in Butler County, including La Vigneta Winery. Their 17-acre farm in Sarver produces over 40,000 bottles of wine a year in 20 different varieties. The recently opened Caffe Barista (tasting room and bottle shop) offers visitors a chance to taste wine paired with charcuterie or an Italian pastry.

MILLIE’S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM
A Pittsburgh-based eatery, specializing in frozen sweet treats, has made its way north and settled in Cranberry. The Cranberry location is owned and operated by husband and wife Nick and Jess Simoni. Nick is the first employee to become a franchise owner, allowing Butler County visitors and locals to savor various ice cream flavors and caffeinated drinks.

Jellystone Park™ Kozy Rest is under a new parent company, and exciting updates are underway. The 2023 Medium Park of the Year, awarded by Advancing Outdoor Hospitality, will continue to bring families together, but now with a water park and new look. Renovations are projected to be complete by the 2024 season opening.
COMING SOON! MORAINE STATE PARK EDUCATION CENTER
Leadership Butler County’s class of 2023 presented a $25,000 check to Moraine State Park and Preservation Fund to kickstart renovations that will transform Pavilion 7 at McDanels Boat Launch into a year-round education center for students and visitors. Further developments should be announced Spring 2024.
