Take a step back in time as you travel through historic Saxonburg. Founded in 1832, this charming town plays a significant role in history. A great cup of coffee, delicious meals, freshly baked goods and unique souvenirs await you.

Saxonburg was co-founded by John A. Roebling, the inventor of wire rope and designer of the Brooklyn Bridge. Stop by Roebling Park where you’ll find a small replica of the Brooklyn Bridge on display.

You can visit Roebling’s Workshop, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While you’re there, be sure to tour the Saxonburg Museum where you can see a piece of the wire cable up close and get an in-depth look at the town’s interesting history and community life.

Stroll along Main Street which features the charm and distinctive architecture of a quaint German hamlet. Main Street retains much of its original character and features 32 buildings that are more than 100 years old.

Do some antiquing while you're in the area at Red Door Antiques. They offer a variety of items, many of which are refurbished by local artisans.

1832 Marketplace on Main is a local maker's market encompassing 30+ artisans and vendors offering unique decor, gifts and more.

Three Rivers Art Glass offers open studio hours and workshops so you can get creative!
