Strike a Good Bargain in Ærø’s Charming Towns

Ærø’s two largest towns – Ærøskøbing and Marstal – each have their own distinct charm: Ærøskøbing has a fairytale-like quality to it, whereas Marstal is still very much of a shipping town. Both towns offer a charming shopping experience with pedestrian streets full of specialty shops and shopkeepers ready to help you out with your needs.

Ærø’s population cares about good quality, and the townscapes are a testament to that. Shops are located in the old town houses, which have been carefully restored, next to cafés and eateries – the ideal place to end a nice day of shopping.

FARM SHOPS, VILLAGES AND ROADSIDE STALLS

Try making a detour from the highway and visit some of Ærø’s many villages. You will find charming farm shops selling a variety of tempting goods – and offering a nice cup of coffee while you look – as well as roadside stalls selling fresh produce and eggs all year round, just remember to bring cash!
