In Holland they have the tulips. In France, they have the lavenders. South Funen is adorned with lilacs.

Every year on the 3rd weekend in May. The celebration of lilacs ’Sydfynske Syrendage’a tradition, where Faaborg and the surrounding area arrange walks and ’open private gardens’ with the focus on lilacs.
