Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations Kingston will be throwing a party and you’re all invited. Come and join in the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations on the ‘Village Green’ Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 June. All are welcome at our party on All Saints Parish Church Green – bring along a family picnic or be tempted by our tasty and traditional great British favourites at the food market. uintessentially British tea, cakes and Q cucumber sandwiches will be served by The Market House Tea Room, sip champagne, fine wine or, everyone’s summer favourite, Pimm’s at Finest Fizz or tuck into 100% tasty handmade beef burgers from Tom Tom’s. Take part in birthday card and crown making, enjoy the fun and games including traditional favourites – Swing Boats, Bouncy Castles and much more.

Saturday 11 June: 10am – 5.30pm Visit the Village Green with friends and family to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday. Relax and enjoy freshly baked goods, cream teas, cloudy lemonade, cucumber sandwiches, Pimm’s and much more at one of our ‘Best of British’ food stalls. Pop along to browse the handmade, vintage and amazing selection of gifts from small and local businesses. Sunday 12 June: 11am – 5pm Start your day with a guided walk of historic Kingston* and find out a little more about our fantastic Ancient Market Town’s history up to today. Pop along to Eden Walk who, as well as being decked out in red, white and blue bunting, will also be celebrating in style with Stilt Walkers, Caricature Artists, free hat and flag giveaways plus ‘Vintage Vixen Solo Artist’ will be performing throughout the day. Then join the fun back on the Village Green where you can enjoy a full programme of fun, activity and entertainment. * 11:00 every Sunday morning. Kingston Town Centre tours start from the gates of All Saints Church in the Ancient Market Place (behind the Market House). Village Green Programme Sunday 12 June Spend Sunday in Kingston at our very own regal picnic and party celebration. Take a guided walk of historic Kingston*, visit Kingston Museum to see the Queen’s 90th birthday display or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the entertainment. 11am – 11.15am

Grand Opening

Swing Noir

Oyez, oyez – the birthday celebrations will be officially opened by the Town Crier.

With music from the 1930’s, through to the 1960’s Swing Noir play swing, jazz and early popular music, with a gypsy jazz style influence, bringing a smooth sound, rich with vocal harmonies.

11.15am – 11.30am

Stagecoach Theatre Arts Come along to see Stagecoach Theatre Arts Twickenham & Teddington perform. This talented network of performing arts schools delivers quality dance, drama and singing lessons to youngsters in the local area. 11.30am – 12.30pm

Twist and Turn Balloon Modelling Be amazed by the fabulous art of balloon twisting – animals, hats and much more… What will you choose? 12pm – 1pm

Celebratory Bell Ringing Sit back and relax as the church bells ring out in celebration of this very special birthday. 12pm – 1pm

Circus Suburbia Stilt Workshop

Children’s Royal Pageant Competition** Join in the fun at our Children’s Royal Pageant Competition. We are looking for the best dressed King, Queen, Knight, Prince and Princess or any other royal character. Judging and prize giving by our very own Princess, Miss Kingston Upon Thames. 3.10pm – 3.50pm

LulaBelle Swing to the sounds of LulaBelle. This stylish vintage duo will bring a taste of old and new with their selection of modern classics with a twist. 3.50pm – 4.20pm

Action Theatre Group

Take part in our stilt walking workshop – with hand held wooden stilts for children & adults, and bucket stilts for very young children.

Action Theatre Club presents a mini Royal Variety Show! Students, aged from 4 to 17 will perform song and dance plus acting scenes – all in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday.

LulaBelle Vintage Duo

Swing Noir

Swing to the sounds of LulaBelle. This stylish vintage duo will bring a taste of old and new with their selection of modern classics with a twist. 1.40pm – 2.40pm
