Gawthorpe Hall

Love’s Labour’s Lost, Gawthorpe Hall 30th July

An option for the adults. Head to Gawthorpe Hall for an outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy Love’s Labour’s Lost performed by Off the Ground Theatre.

The Importance of Being Ernest, Heskin Hall 20th August

Prepare to witness the impossible – the entirety of Oscar Wilde’s classic play of manners, affairs and handbags being performed by just two rather dashing entertainers.

Astley Hall

The tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, Astley Hall Coach House and Park 21st August

An enchanting new adaptation of two of Beatrix Potter’s best-loved tales, The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benajmin Bunny set in the beautiful walled garden performed by Quantum Theatre.

Brockholes Nature Reserve

Much Ado about Murder, Brockholes Nature Reserve 4th September

This hilarious murder mystery will see five suspects under the spotlight and will depend on the audience to find answers. Recommended for children aged 10+, must be accompanied by an adult.

OUTDOOR THEATRE SURVIVAL GUIDE!

It’s great to get to the theatre, especially outdoors, but there are a few thingsyou need to make sure you don’t forget;

DECK CHAIRS OR A PICNIC MAT – make sure you have something comfortable so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

WATERPROOFS – warm clothing and suntan lotion – because we all know how unpredictable the British weather can be!

PICNIC – snacks are an essential but remember to make sure its portable if you’re going to a walkabout theatre event.

CAMERA OR PHONE – to capture those magical moments to share with friends.
