More and more people are looking for ways to travel sustainably, and rightly so! Living, and travelling sustainably should be at the heart of everything we do.
If you are looking for a more sustainable or environmentally friendly short break, we have compiled some top tips for going green, including where to stay and what to pack. You will not only feel better about your travels, but you will have a wonderful time too.
HANDY HINTS FOR MAKING YOUR STAY IN LANCASHIRE A LITTLE GREENER
1. Travel light bringing only the essentials – and if these are sustainable even better! Think bamboo toothbrushes, reusable face wipes and shampoo bars.
2. Plan your route beforehand and with plenty of time to spare, making it easier to avoid sitting in traffic or missing those public transport connections
3. If you are going to be out all day pack a reusable water bottle or thermos for drinks and take a picnic or packed lunch in reusable containers. Make sure to take all your rubbish home with you – or to the nearest recycling centre!
4. Don’t forget to pack some bags for life to save money as well as plasticuse when out shopping.
