A group of acting students were asked to join us for a Flora and Fauna expedition walk between two blue Flag beaches at the north east coast namely; ‘Ta’ Fra Ben’ and ‘Bugibba Perched Beach’. The participants were amazed by how in such a small country, one could find almost 4500 floral and farnal species, 85 of which are endemic as well as a significant number of Maltese wall lizards (Podarcis fifolensis) along with butterflies and ants. The participants particularly enjoyed taking artistic close up photos of a friendly grasshopper. Later, the students were encouraged to participate in a physical activity session within a public gym. It was noted that the equipment in the public gym does not require any electrical supply and therefore it is completely environmentally friendly. In light of this, it was concluded that a healthy lifestyle is beneficial to both humans and the environment.
