2. Theatre Workshops

Together with Freespirit Acting group, a theatre workshop was conducted at Fond Ghadir. Firstly, the participants were asked to have a stroll and observe the environment around them. Amongst other things, the participants spotted some litter as well as a family of crabs. A discussion took place regarding the fact that people from different cultures, religions and age groups visit beaches for several different reasons. Some visitors enjoy reading a book, children engage in sand playing activities and, like us, some choose to conduct a theatre workshop. Hence, we all should take personal responsibilities to keep beaches clean for others to enjoy and unwind at. The theme of the workshop revolved around this subject. We discussed how sea creatures are being adversely affected by non-biodegradable packaging and other items which are used on a daily basis.
