Where is Namdalen?
Namdalen is part of Trøndelag county. The landscape stretches from the shores of Flatanger, Nærøysund and Leka, via Namsos and Grong to Lierne, Røyrvik and Børgefjell along the Swedish border. You can get to Namdalen by boat, air, rail or along the country roads. Timetables can be found on page 66.

Go island hopping along our beautiful coastline by car, bicycle, or express boat. Start in Namsos and travel north, via Rørvik and Kolvereid, to the geology island of Leka. Tour Jøa island, visit a historic fishing village and sleep by the ocean at Nordøyan lighthouse. For the adventurer: A wild detour
Take a wild detour from E6 along some of Norway’s largest lakes, through the national park municipalities of Lierne and Røyrvik. Try some fantastic trout fishing tours or hit a local hiking trail, stay in a wilderness camp on a private island at Ingulfsvann Vestre, and eat tasty local dishes at LiVERTEN.
Rental cabins and guided tours in the area will introduce you to Norwegian wilderness. Other recommended activities: a stop at Kvelia Selected Cultural Landscape in Lierne, or a walk to Viewpoint Børgefjell in Røyrvik.
