Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción, comprises 819 hectares of mostly primary rainforest, with a natural cocha or oxbow lake. It is home to diverse ecosystems, tropical plants and wildlife. The lodge acts as a buffer zone between the Tambopata National Reserve and the shores of the vast Madre de Dios River, making the location of Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción a privileged one.

This family-friendly lodge will introduce you to the biodiversity of the rainforest through the wide range of land and river fixed excursions in its surroundings; as you may have the opportunity to observe giant river otters (Pteronura brasiliensis), blue and yellow macaws (Ara ararauna), dusky titi monkeys (Callicebus moloch), paiches (Arapaima gigas), agoutis (Dasyprocta variegata), two-toed sloths (Bradypus variegatus), peccaries (Tayassu tajacu), hoatzins (Opisthocomus hoazin), fly catchers, black caimans (Melanosuchus niger), ladder-tailed nightjar (Hydropsalis climacocerca), among others.

A 20% guarantee payment is required to accept and confirm your reservation. This payment is non refundable and deductible from the total price of your reservation. The balance of the pending amount is due 30 days prior to arrival at the hotel. Reservations made less than 30 days before arrival to the hotel must be accompanied by full payment. TRIP RECOMMENDATIONS:  We recommend you to buy Travel Insurance to cover unforeseen events.  The weather is extremely tropical (hot and humid). Average temperature is 32°C (89 F), and varies from 25°C (77 F) to 42°C (107 F). The hotter season usually ranges from December to March and comes with frequent afternoon rainfall.  Cool comfortable cotton clothes are required to counter the heat while sweaters and jackets may be handy at night  Recommended packing List: long pants and long sleeve shirt made from light, breathable, quick-dry material, good water resistant trekking shoes, raingear (back-up gear is a good idea), binoculars, sun block, sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, insect repellent, a converter (voltage is 220), do not forget your camera and/or video camera (we recommend a waterproof case), extra batteries
