USD 678 Day 1.- Lima: Upon arrival in Lima, you will be assisted in the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel. Day 2.- Lima – City Tour: Breakfast at the hotel. We will begin the tour in the modern, residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. Following our tour, we will head to the Lima’s Historical Center, declared to be a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO in 1991, where the Spanish colony was established in the 16th century, and where the first constructions were built. We will get to see the San Martin Plaza, its balconies and old colonial houses, the Major Plaza and its most important buildings, such as the Government Palace, Lima’s Cathedral, the Archiepiscopal and Municipal Palace, the Desamparados Station, and other buildings San Francisco Convent and Catacombs: We will enter one of the most important convents of the 17th century and visit the Ancient Library, the Coro, the Principal Cloister and the subterranean crypts known as the Catacombs. As the tour ends, you will have the option to stay at the Inca Market, in Larcomar, or to return to your hotel. Day 3.- Lima / Cusco – Visiting the city & archeological ruins: Breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred from the hotel to the airport for the flight to Cusco. CITY TOUR + 04 RUIN TRIPS: Half day tour. Approximately 14:00 to 18:30 hours. This traditional tour is a visit of the city. The first recommended trip as an introduction that allows for a better understanding. During the trip, we will get to know the Sun Temple (Koricancha) and the Cusco Cathedral, to later visit the four archeological sites that are found surrounding the city such as Seno, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and the impressive temple known as the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Day 4.- Cusco / Sacred Valley of the Incas: Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour. Length: approximately 09:00 am to 18:30 pm. The trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas is one of the most important ones in your visit to Cusco. We will visit the most traditional archeological sites such as the crafts market Pisac and the sites of Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. This is the second most visited place in Cusco. After the trip, you will remain inside the city. If the visit happens to be on a Sunday, we will be able to enjoy the Mass in the Quechuan language. On the way back to Cusco, we will have the opportunity of visiting the picturesque village of Chincheros. Overnight in Sacred Valley. Includes a buffet lunch. Day 5.- Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu: Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Machu Picchu. The trip to Machu Picchu will begin with an approximately two hour trip to the town of Agua Calientes. We will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, and then take the bus that will drop us off in Machu Picchu after a 30 minute trip. “Lost city of the Incas,” a sanctuary and resting place for the Inca Pachacutec (1438 – 1572). Machu Picchu is considered a Cultural Heritage of Humanity according to the UNESCO, and it is one of the seven World Wonders. The excursion includes a guided tour of the Citadel, and you will visit the Principal Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sundial, the Royal Rooms, the Three Window Temple, and the Graveyard. Includes a buffet lunch. Accommodation in your chosen hotel. Day 6.- Machu Picchu / Cusco: Breakfast at the hotel. You will be able to return to Machu Picchu on this day and have the option of visiting any of the attractions in the citadel. You will be able to visit the Intipunku, “The Door of the Sun,” and it is the last stop before entering Machu Picchu if the Inca Trail is followed from Ollantaytambo. It was a sort of checkpoint, and the sun rises every day through this door if it is seen from the most important buildings of the citadel. You will also be able to climb the Wayna Picchu (availability subject to spaces). The ascent takes approximately one hour, and you will be able to see the main attractions, the “Temple of the Moon,” which is an subterranean construction complex most likely destined to be used by the elite. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Aguas Calientes train station and from there you will take the return trip on a train to the Ollantaytambo or Cusco train station. Day 7.- Cusco / Lima – International Departure: Breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred from the hotel to the airport and be given assistance if your departure. Price per person in US$
