This traditional tour is a visit of the city. The first recommended trip as an introduction that allows for a better understanding. Full day tour. Very early in the morning, you will be taken from the hotel to Cusco’s train station to go on an approximately two hour trip to the citadel of Machu Picchu. We will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, where we will take the bus that will take us on a 30 minute ascending trip to Machu Picchu. “L ost city of the Incas,” a sanctuary and resting place for the Inca Pachacutec (1438 – 1572). LIMA – UNIQUE EXPERIENCES 4D/3N Destinations: Lima Trip Experience: Cultural, Historic and Gastronomic USD 454 Day 1 Lima Once you arrive in Lima, you will be transferred to the selected hotel.

We will begin our tour in the modern districts of Miraflores and San Isidro.

Afterwards, we will head to the Historical Center of Lima, which has been declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1991 by the UNESCO. The center of the Spanish colony has been established here in the sixteenth century and the first buildings have also been erected here. We will see the Plaza San Mar tin , its balconies and old houses, along with the Plaza Mayor, and its most important buildings like the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archiepiscopal and Municipal Palace, the Desamparos Station, and others.

We will visit one of the most important convents of the seventeenth century, the Convent and Catacombs of San Francisco. In addition, we will visit the ancient Library, the Coro, the Claustro Principal, and the subterranean crypts known as Catacombs.

After the tour is over, you will have the choice of staying at the Inca market, in Larcomar or returning to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 2 Larco Herrera Museum – Magical Water Circuit Breakfast at the hotel.

LARCO HERRERA MUSEUM, considered one of the best museums in Latin America, it displays a fine collection of gold and silver from Ancient Peru along with its famous erotic ceramics.

MAGICAL WATER CIRCUIT, The tour will begin in the Parque de la Reserva, where we will visit the Magical Water Circuit. This majestic work has obtained the Guinness record for being the largest public park in the world and for having the tallest fountain (standing at 80 meters tall). The circuit contains 12 ornamental fountains and a spectacular laser display. It also has music and images that interact with the water’s movement in perfect harmony. The show includes a buffet dinner with spectacular music and dances.

After the show, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Día 3 Culinary Experience and Shopping Breakfast at the hotel.

One entire day to awaken our senses. First, we will visit a local market where we will appreciate the local products that make the Peruvian cuisine delicious. Then we will head to the Barrio Chino, where we will experiment the mix between the Peruvian and Chinese cultures. We will go through Lima’s Historical Center in order to return to the majestic Viceroyal Lima and observe its principal monuments. Then we will head towards a renowned restaurant, where the chef will present us his traditional dishes. Then we will visit another famous chef that specializes in ceviche; we will enter his kitchen and he will share with us his secrets, making a demonstration of how he makes his ceviche.

As a result, we will be having seafood lunch. To finish the tour, we will pass throug h Barranco, the bohemian district of our capital city and the birthplace of many artists, stated in book “La Ciudad de Perros” by Mario Vargas Llosa. We will also visit the Pallas, a private collection of fine craftsmanship brought from all over Peru. Like this, we will complete the culinary and shopping tours in Lima.

This day will be a complete tour day. Very early in the morning, we will head to the train station in Cusco for a trip to the citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as the “Lost City of the Incas.” The train will stop at the station in Hot Springs where we will take a bus to climb to Machu Picchu for about 30 minutes. Machu Pichu is a sanctuary where the Inca Pachacutec currently rests (1438-1572).

Machu Picchu is considered a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO and is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The trip consists of a guided tour to the Citadel, the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Cemeterie s. Later we will continue to Ollantaytambo, ruins located at 97 km. from Cusco. This is the only Inca town that still is inhabited and whose ruins dominate the valley. On the way back to Cusco, we will have the opportunity of visiting the picturesque town of Chincheros. Includes a buffet lunch.

Day 4.- Cusco / Maras and Moray: Breakfast at the hotel.

Your day will begin with an approximately one and a half hour trip to the archeological remains of Moray and Maras.

The archeological remains of Moray consist of mysterious concentric circle platforms that for some intellectuals, it was a center of agricultural investigation. The outer, elevated platforms are at higher temperatures than the inner platforms and they could simulate the conditions of the different ecological floors of the empire. On the other side, Maras is a surreal view. It is near Moray and it is an impressive comp lex of salt works. The large deposits of salt were used to trade for other products with other parts of the Empire. To end the trip, you will return to Cusco.

NOTE: If the room is shared by a Peruvian passenger and a foreigner, the taxes on general sales will added to the room and it will be paid by the passengers. If a triple room is wanted please consult the type of accommodation. The waiting tolerance of shuttles are 15 minutes. After this time, there will be extra charges. Passengers who leave the hotel early in the morning need to consult if there is breakfast. Every passenger is required to have their personal documents at the start of the trip.

In Cusco: If passengers wish the train back to Cusco departin g after 20:00 hrs, they must submit a written authorization to accept the schedule and add U.S. $ 20.00 per passenger per transfer schedules . Private guide service is considered when the passenger arrives at Machu Picchu after 11.00am . $ 60.00 up to 8 pa ssengers . The guided tour of Machu Picchu lasts 02:30 hrs to 03:00 hrs. On the train ride to Machu Picchu, 01 purse or bag of 5 kg is allowed.

Huayna Picchu: For travelers who want to climb Huayna Picchu, it is recommended to buy the tickets in advance.

The Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu tickets (group 1) are the ones that run out the fastest due to the interests of hundreds of tourists to climb this mountain and due to the limited number of spaces that are for sale. The journey in this mountain takes about 2 hours, but it is an extraordinary adventure. The road to the top of Huayna Picchu is thin, but has been carefully crafted using platforms and other materials. The maximum capacity of people allowed to climb Huayna Picchu is 400 people per day (divided into two groups of 200 each). Group 1: Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Ticket 07:00 – 08:00 hrs. Group 2: Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Ticket 10:00 – 11:00 hrs.

The Inca Trail must be reserved and paid in advance especially in the months of April through September. The Inca Trail only allows 500 entries per day (between tourists, guides, porters and cooks).

In the Jungle: In Iquitos, for the programs with hotel accommodation, buy flights that arrive before 10 am and on the return trip, buy flights after 5pm to avoid inconveniences. For more information consult with the counter. The most recommended flights for programs with accommodation in Puerto Maldonado, are between STAR 1181 – 1182 / LAN 2075 – 2076. LA 2081 – 2080 / LA 2071 – 72 are not recommended.

BOOKING POLICY: All requests for booking are done through e-mail. In the mail, please indicate the following information. Name and last name. PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS Prices for cash payments and card payments please consult with our staff. Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices include taxes on general sales (18%). The total payment for the services must be paid before the start of the trip. Full payment of the package must be made within 15 days after the prepayment. Cancelations before 30 days prior to departure will be penalized with administrative expenses and according to the costs provided by each supplier. Cancelations within 30 days prior departure will be penalized with 100% of the total payment. Non refundable, non-endorsable, or non-transferable. No changes are allowed once the pre-payment is made. NO SHOW. In case the traveler does not show up for the trip, he or she will lost 100 % of the total cost of the package.

INKA TRAIL / SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Inca Trail must be reserved and paid in advance, especially if it is for the months of April to September (peak months).

Health: The main problem that the hiker can encounter is high altitude. We recommend tak ing coca tea upon arriving at Cuzco. All hotels and public places offer it and some hotels provide it free to their customers. Drink plenty of water during the trip. Avoid eating excessive fat or heavy food that takes a while to digest. During the Trek, wa lk slowly on the first day and avoid using energy on other useless things. If you smoke, try to reduce it as much as possible during the trip. Feel free to stop and rest if you lack oxygen. Tell your guide if you have any discomfort. He or she is trained and can assist you. Although water is potable in most of Peru, its chemical and bacteriological composition changes by location. To avoid problems, we recommend you to drink bottled water.

Payments And Cancellation Penalties For The Inca Trail: When booking the Inca Trail or the entrances to Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu a non -refundable deposit is required. Payments must be made as soon as the trip is booked. The Inca Trail excursion is confirmed once it has been paid.

IMPORTANT: ATIPAX PERU can make changes to the order of the excursions due to weather conditions, river water levels, arrival and departure times and for any other relevant reason. This is to make the trip coordination as best as possible.

Prices are subject to change without notice due to availability, monetary adjustments or final modifications to the itinerary and services. The trip can only be ensured once it is booked. ATIPAX PERU will send a written settlement so that travelers can proceed with payments. After this, ATIPAX PERU will send the travelers a confirmation thro ugh EVOUCHER. According to Decree Law No. 919, foreigners and non -Peruvian residents who have a stay of no more than 60 days are exempt from the taxes on general sales (18%) only if the original passport along with the Andean Immigration card (TAM) (properly sealed) has been presented. Otherwise the person cannot be exempted from the taxes according to the Law. This only applies to individuals.
