CUSCO EXPRESS (3 days) The ideal itinerary for those travelers lacking time for a long journey but who don’t want to miss out the highlights of the country, Machu Picchu and Cusco the former capital of the Inca Empire. DAY 1
LIMA – CUSCO (-) Transfer from the hotel to the airport. Flight to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Afternoon visit to the Cathedral, Koricancha Temple and the nearby archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.
DAY 2
CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO (B, L) Transfer early in the morning from Cusco to Ollanta station (approx. 1 ½ hour) Departure by train to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, a small coach takes you up to the entrance of the archaeological complex. After the guided excursion you will return by train to Ollanta station. Arrival and transfer by coach to Cusco. Lunch included.
DAY 3
CUSCO – LIMA OR PUERTO MALDONADO EXTENSION (B) Transfer to the airport.
