From Pachía comes tierno maíz (sweet corn), which provides the sweetness for pastel de choclo. For a toast, there is wine, pisco and the damasco (apricot) cocktail. For a snack, one can try the Tacna olive, which has its own special flavor.
What to buy? The region’s craftsmen work with hollow reeds, leather, wood, and fabrics. Traditional Tarata dolls are dressed with the region’s typical costumes. The visitor can also purchase wine and pisco products, as well as infusions prepared in the region’s artisanal wineries.
