General Sánchez Cerro Province

Omate 147 km to the north of the city of Moquegua (6 hr. by car). The 17 population centers that make up the valley live on the fruit crop and the cattle raising. The San Lino colonial temple is located in the main square of the town of Omate, built in adobe and with an altar of wood and gold leaf. It is known for the "bread of Omate", which in the 19th century was prepared with wheat ground in hydraulic stone mills, located in the upper part of the town. Since 2010, its Holy Week is a National Cultural Heritage.

Ilo Province

The San Jerónimo Temple In the Main Square of the city of Ilo. Opening hours: Mon-Sun 7:30 am - 8:30 am / 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm This temple with a single nave of wood and iron was constructed in 1871. It is notable for the bell in its tower inscribed with the year 1647. Its internal walls are decorated in gold leaf and what remains of its original murals, with their images of plants and angels.

Mansions Antique 19th century mansions characterized by their double mojinete roofs, their spacious rooms and their imposing facades with large gates and windows, are scattered throughout the city of Ilo. Amongst the most well-known are Gambetta, Zapata, Valdivia, Segovia, Malatesta and Jiménez de la Flor.

The José Gálvez Rotunda and Fiscal Pier Prol. calle 28 de Julio, on the Ilo esplanade. Emblematic construction of the city since 1915. The iron lookout sits on wooden supports over a crag of rock and joins the boardwalk by the Venus bridge. From there you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea, the boats, the sea lions and the birds that visit the coast.
