Boasting the iconic Glass House Mountains, lush rainforests, inspiring creativity, bountiful local produce and breathtaking scenery, you can lose yourself in the natural beauty and serenity of the hinterland. Discover the art trail, retro vibes, markets and connect with nature as you explore charming villages and towns like Eumundi, Kenilworth, Maleny, Montville, Nambour, Palmwoods and Yandina, each with their own unique characters. A fantastic itinerary stop is the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve Rainforest Discovery Centre, a multi-million dollar interpretive centre uncovering the treasures of the unique subtropical remnant rainforest that lies behind it. Complete your walk through the rainforest with a stop at the fantastic café or picnic areas and get the camera ready for stunning views of the Glass House Mountains landscape.

Caloundra to Kawana

Known for being one of the Sunshine Coast’s most relaxed and authentic beach destinations, this area is surrounded by a mix of calm water beaches, as well as great surf spots. The pristine Pumicestone Passage, with views of the Glass House Mountains, dominates the Caloundra landscape, while Currimundi Lake offers a fabulous familyfriendly location to enjoy the water. Sunshine Coast Stadium, located in Kawana Waters, is a premier facility hosting an array of sporting and community events.

Mooloolaba to Coolum Beach

One of Australia’s most vibrant and exciting stretches of coastline, showcasing the laidback, café-worshipping, water-loving way of life. This central area – from Mooloolaba to Coolum Beach, with Maroochydore at its core – is the hub of the Sunshine Coast. It is known for its clean waterways, stunning swimming beaches, great markets, fabulous dining and nightlife, as well as the largest shopping centre in the region. The Wharf precinct in Mooloolaba has been revitalised and reimagined with fantastic retail, food and drink, entertainment, adventure and education services, and the Ocean Street precinct in Maroochydore is the place to be for dinner and late night music venues.

Noosa and surrounds

Blend nature at its most unspoiled with culture at its most refined, and you have the rarity that is Noosa and surrounds. This iconic northern section of the Sunshine Coast, from the village of Peregian Beach to Sunshine Beach and Noosa Heads, offers contemporary eateries dotted along cosmopolitan Hastings Street and in Noosaville, as well as the stunning Boreen Point, Noosa Biosphere and the Noosa River. Noosa National Park is fringed by stunning coastline, including picture-perfect coves and inlets where you can have the ocean all to yourself.

Gympie to Rainbow Beach

From its white beaches to majestic hinterland and heritage towns, this area features national parks and rainforest by the beach, a stunning coastline and the Great Sandy Biosphere. Just an hour’s drive north of Noosa is the township of Gympie. Known as the town that saved Queensland in the Gold Rush, Gympie is the golden gateway that leads to the Mary Valley, Rainbow Beach, Tin Can Bay and across to Fraser Island. Four wheel drive (4WD) along the Great Beach Drive, boasting pristine sandy beach and amazing coloured sands, from Noosa North Shore to Double Island Point and Rainbow Beach.
