Up in the air

Nothing beats a bird’s eye view, and taking in the gorgeous coast to hinterland landscape of the Sunshine Coast is a must. Take to the sky and fly over mountains, green valleys and breathtaking coastline in a seaplane or helicopter, or maybe take in the sights as you skydive your way back to the ground.

Operating from Mooloolaba, new Indigenous cruise operator Saltwater Eco Tours, is using a century-old historic timber sailing vessel, to showcase the Sunshine Coast’s Indigenous heritage and marine beauty. A series of tours are available, including a Cultural Tour, Sunset Acoustic Tour and Private Charters. Discover the rich history of the Mary Valley Railway line and ride the Mary Valley Rattler. Begin your journey in either Gympie or Amamoor, and hop aboard a lovingly restored heritage train that carries you through charming rural townships.

TreeTop Challenge Sunshine Coast The new TreeTop Challenge opened at the Big Pineapple in 2019 and is the highest course in Australia! There is over 120 activities across a two-kilometre course, with a variety of challenges including a 120m zipline.
