Melbourne’s Neighbourhoods Fashion Forward

It's known as the capital of fashion for a reason. With more than 500 retailers under one roof, Chadstone is the place to find your style.

Spring has arrived, and we all know what that means: it’s time to spruce up our wardrobes. There’s one place where you can get everything to create a stylish look (or two), and that’s Chadstone – The Fashion Capital.

All the Best

If you’re looking for luxury brands, this is where to do it. Chadstone is home to more than 35 luxury brands and has the highest number of luxury brands under one roof, including Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Tory Burch, Miu, Prada, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. If you prefer to shop for local talent, Australian designers are well represented. Check out new collections by Sass & Bide, Zimmermann, Gorman and more.

Find Your Style

If it all seems overwhelming, book time with Chadstone’s personal stylists. Simone Farrugia, who’s dressed celebrities and worked on runway shows and editorial shoots, is one member of the team. “I like to help people find their personal style and their own narrative through fashion,” she says. “Personal styling shouldn’t be reserved for celebrities – we help empower people to feel stylish, relaxed and glamorous.” Sessions last for between two and four hours, and each includes VIP-style services like valet parking and hands-free shopping. +chadstone.com.au

Chadstone personal stylist Simone Farrugia names her top three trends for the upcoming season.

Tailoring gone wild “Head-totoe suiting is the way to go this season, as tailoring makes an impact in the fashion world. Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour and oversized suits to make a statement.”

Lingerie shimmers and shines “Luxe lingerie looks have had an upgrade. We can expect intricate details – lace, ribbons and shimmer – to enhance satin and silk statement pieces.”

That’s so basic “Tank tops are no longer basic! Designers have breathed new life into this wardrobe staple, and we’ll be seeing textured fabrics, luxe logos and fresh colours arriving in time for summer.”
