FITNESSPRENEUR’S LIFE: 3 CONTENT WRITING TRICKS YOU SHOULD KNOW
You're going out there and starting to
set up your online presence
for your fitness business even though in the past you’ve tried to do it, but with less than stellar results. Have you ever wondered why your blog didn't get any comments or shares? Or why your Twitter account doesn't have many followers? What about your email marketing and social media? Are you getting responses or sales? Is your
website getting the hits you want
it to and bringing leads
into your funnel? It’s frustrating when you invest time and effort and it feels like no one is accessing your content. You don’t want to experience no reward for taking less time on the floors to grow your brand with content marketing and then see little or no results. The fix is as simple as
understanding some basic principles
of content writing that will have your marketing muscles pumping up.

ENGAGE You want people to
engage with your content. You want them to feel like it hits a chord and means
something to them, that is specific to their unique needs. Whether it's making them laugh
or cry or educating them, you want your content to be something
meaningful that moves the needle, gives a solution, answers a question; so there is an exchange of value for the time between you and your reader. As an example: If your potential client types in Google, “how to run a 5k” and your article, blog, video, etc. is there- will it serve them? All your content should come from a place of servitude to your potential client in the form of
content that can help them achieve a specific goal. WWW.VITOLAFATA.COM COPYRIGHT 2015 - 2020 - VITO LAFATA - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

People are struggling and it's
your job to help them.
Maybe they tried to lose weight and failed time and time again because they were never given all the right factors; because you weren't there to help them with content that dispelled the myths, debunked the hype, or gave them some tools they could use right away. The bottom line is that without
engaging valuable content, you are
never going to be able to turn around and make courses, products and programs that will sell. Why? Because without content that makes your potential client aware of you, and your knowledge, you never gain what’s called
“authority or expert
status” in the market. Your content should always be positioning you as “THE GO TO” Expert because it helps clients know why
you are the right person to do
business with. Once you’ve established through your content that you’re an authority in your chosen topic, your content needs to make
a quick and purposeful
shift. Your content needs to position the purchase. Here’s the typical mistake novices make when sitting down to write their content- they don’t aim it at a product or service that they can eventually offer to the reader. They just write to write, which is fine but won’t grow your business. If you’re going to be carving out time to write, you need to make money or grow your list from it. We are in business right? There's a sequence to moving
people to making a buying deci-
sion. A classic mistake that many people in the fitness industry (and other industries) make is to just put up a sales page. Sometimes it’s not even a sales page!

There's no marketing or positioning of the product or communication of the opportunity being offered by the product, it’s just a bullet list of what comes in the product. They throw together a six-week program with a 3x/week workout, a meal plan and that's it. They price it and then wonder why no one bought it. It’s because they never sat down and put the same level of learning into content marketing and selling the way they did to training, biomechanics, kinesiology and all those things. If you want to
be successful with your content, you’ve got to de-
cide right now to become a serious student of this because this will be the future of marketing your business. Content
is king.
So, let’s dig in. When sitting down to create your content, there are a couple of things you need to understand as principles.

THE THREE PILLARS OF CONTENT 1 – You Need to Educate, Entertain and Empower Take the great stuff that is in your head that you’ve studied for years and
start educating people with
it by carving it up into various forms of digestible content. Whether it’s how to become an amazing soccer player, how to be a marathoner, finish a 5k, how to help people lose weight, or how to help people through their back pain; you need to educate people and solve problems for them. When you create PDFs, reports, videos, newsletters and blog series; these are your content outposts people can organically search to
start moving them along their journey of understanding and
knowledge. What you have to teach is relevant to their struggles, frustrations, ambitions and aspirations. WWW.VITOLAFATA.COM COPYRIGHT 2015 - 2020 - VITO LAFATA - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

It’s super simple if you keep in mind this basic frame of mind: People are in a
“before state”
where they are not happy about some situation in their
life and they want to be led to a happier
state after they come upon your
content.

When you sit down to write it needs to be relevant to your audience so you can
help them solve a problem. Your content needs to move them
towards something that they desire. You're going to educate them on the steps to do it. You don't have to give everything away for free. As a matter of fact you shouldn’t.

automate your content so you can grow beyond the one-to-one selling ceiling and get into the highly leveraged one-to-many

2 – It's Time to Automate There's a process that you need to embrace that will save you time when creating your content. It’s called Repurposing.
take one piece of content and carve it up into different formats and disperse it onto other content outRepurposing is when you posts. As an example, you can write one blog and repurpose it into your email. You can repurpose it onto your site. You can repurpose it into your newsletter and your Facebook and Twitter posts. That's how you'll get a lot more done with your time.
Do the work once and then automate the distribution of the content. That's the process you’ve got to embrace. So, you can ditch the “I don’t have time excuse” and produce
and proliferate your content.
The best way to do this is to shoot a video, and then transcribe the video and start playing with the transcription by turning it into your other content posts. I shoot several videos a month and then spin those transcriptions into Facebook posts, emails, blogs, articles, tweets and more. Then from there you need to have
the right tools to get the word out.
Do you have an email management system that allows you to automate your emails? Do you have a digital newsletter platform with a template where you can cut and paste content? Do you have a website that is easy to update? Is your Facebook up to date and getting love and attention? These are the things that you’ve got to start thinking about and start taking seriously. It's time to
start focusing on the marketing and sales tools.
That's how content creation can have meaning and purpose and can ultimately lead to sales. When it comes to automating your content, there's something really important you can't overlook. WWW.VITOLAFATA.COM COPYRIGHT 2015 - 2020 - VITO LAFATA - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
FITNESSPRENEUR'S TIP: Want more time off? Do the work once and automate the distribution of your content. Stop working the old hard way.
FITNESSPRENEUR’S LIFE: 3 CONTENT WRITING TRICKS YOU SHOULD KNOW
You want to make sure that you
have consistency with your
scheduling. If you write one blog and then you don't write another blog within six months, no one is going to follow you. There won't be enough of a relationship developed for people to ever get to know, like and trust you. In an authority position you need trust
and credibility.
No one will trust you if you post one day and don't post anything else for another three months whether it's on your blog, Facebook or Twitter. Nobody will follow you because you're inconsistent and inconsistency doesn’t build trust. Without trust there's no authority. Then there's no return on the time you've invested going online.
3 – It's Time to Commit In the online world, you've got to
commit to the principles. FITNESSPRENEUR'S TIP:
You ask your clients to make a commitment to fitness and wellness. It pisses you off when they don't make the commitment. They are in, they are out; they are in, they are out. Then they wonder why they struggle and don't get results. You also need to
commit to the consistency of scheduling
and improving your content writing. Start realistically by committing to
posting once a week.
Then you
can build it up to two and three times a week. Only serious internet marketers get to the level of creating seven times a week communication, and that may be overkill for your fitness business. But in the end it's
your consistency that shows you are seri-
ous and have made a true commitment. It’s like getting that many workouts in, that many good solid meals in and that's what’s going to feed your online business. If you think you are going to come in and dabble in this, you are going to get the same mediocre results that your clients get who only dabble in their commitment to fitness.

You don't want to struggle like that do you? Do you want to put in the time but never get the results? You’ve got to decide not to dabble and to make a commitment. There's a learning curve and you've got to
commit to learning the tools that will help you
be a success online and offline. You’ve got to strap in and set aside the time to learn what it takes to be
suc-
cessful as a professional whose serious about marketing their business. Now of course there are tips, tricks, shortcuts and easier things to do so you don’t have to walk that long road. But
the industry is moving this
way. Markets are moving this way. Whole economies are moving this way and more and more people are buying online or using online to check you out before they come find you offline.
Make a schedule for yourself right now. How many times a week can you start sending out your content? It's better to set the expectation of once a week with your people than three times a week and not be able to meet it. Start
with one blog article a week that
you can spin around into your other tools.
FITNESSPRENEUR'S TIP:
One newsletter a month, one Facebook post a day etc.
Want to be known more as the "Go To Expert" in your niche? Publish more consistently!
What’s that schedule going to be? Think about your
big five platforms.
Are you going to post once a
month on your newsletter? One blog a week? Two or four posts a week on Facebook? Don't forget Twitter and Instagram. If you want to make a difference and launch your online business,
get
started. You can set up your fitness business to run on autopilot and give you the lifestyle you've always wanted, the fitnesspreneur's life and then you can
launch your income and make a bigger difference. Get your content out and start living the Fitnesspreneurs
Life.
