EL VÍNCULO DE ENTRERRÍOS CON LA AGRICULTURA ES TAN ANTIGUO COMO LA HISTORIA DE LA HUMANIDAD Ocho siglos a.C., celtas y celtíberos, conocedores de la gran riqueza agrícola de estas tierras, se enfrentaron en una encarnizada lucha por la conquista de una de sus áreas más productivas. Con un sistema de riego totalmente mecanizado, los cultivos han quedado relegados al ámbito familiar. Sin embargo, surgen poco a poco otras propuestas que, además de relanzar la economía de la zona, pretenden fomentar un turismo rural de calidad. Aprovechando el fascinante pasado de Mijas como productora vitinícola, el actual propietario de esta parcela, el alemán Rudolf Nicholaus Ballauf, eligió el municipio hace diez años para hacer realidad el sueño de ‘El abanderado’, el cabernet sauvignon que hoy producen sus 1.800 viñedos. A la espera de pasar a formar parte de la denominación de origen de Málaga, el encargado de la finca, Antonio Sevillano, nos muestra ilusionado el interior de la bodega, equipada con maquinaria de fermentación, depósito y embotellamiento, así como laboratorio y sala de catas. Un paseo por los viñedos nos permite ver las diferentes variedades de uvas que se cultivan en la finca donde la cabernet sauvignon, convive con la garnacha y la tempranillo. Rudolf nos hace partícipes de su intención de industrializar la bodega, incorporando caldos de otros lugares e impulsando así un turismo enológico que pretende devolver al campo mijeño el esplendor de otros tiempos. Ambos, dueño y encargado, nos describen minuciosamente el proceso de fabricación de sus caldos, desde la vendimia hasta el embotellado. Así nace este delicioso vino afrutado que, según cuentan, ya ha recibido los elogios de enólogos de todo el mundo. Taking advantage of the fascinating past of vine growing in Mijas, the current owner of this plot, German born Rudolf Nicholaus Ballauf, who has chosen for the past ten years to live his dream in the municipality as the representative of cabernet sauvignon which today produces 1,800 vineyards. Waiting to become the designated origin of Málaga, in charge of the estate, Antonio Sevillano, enthusiastically shows us inside the cellar equipped with fermentation machinery, deposit and botelling, as well as the laboratory and tasting room. A stroll through the vineyards allows us to see the different varieties of grapes grown on the cabernet sauvignon estate, which coexists with garnacha and tempranillo. Rudolf makes us partakers of his intention to industrialise the winery, incorporating wines from other places and driving an oenological tourism that aims to return the splendour of other times to the Mijeño fields. Both owner and maintainer, described to us in detail the manufacturing process of its wines from the grape harvest until bottling. Thus was born this delicious fruity wine which, according to all counts, has already received praise from winemakers worldwide.

No tenemos que desplazarnos demasiado para presenciar un espectáculo ecuestre digno de admiración. Dedicados a la venta y adiestramiento de ejemplares equinos para la alta competición, están especializados en la doma clásica, una disciplina con la que convierten a los caballos andaluces en campeones. Caballo y jinete interpretaron para nosotros un delicado baile, logrando una conexión espontánea, una elegante armonía de movimientos, fruto de su amplia experiencia. También ofrecen clases de equitación individuales y venden caballos de alto nivel; no en vano cuentan en sus caballerizas con sementales de Martínez Boloix. UNA VEZ MÁS, EL PAISAJE SE TORNA EN BLANCO Y NEGRO La voz de Juan Jaime nos transporta a otra época y vislumbramos, a través de sus recuerdos, las antiguas explotaciones de amianto y ermitica, cientos de manos esforzándose por encauzar el agua de la sierra hacia los cultivos y el alegre discurrir del torrente acuático por las acequias. Hoy, el único resquicio de esta intensa labor es la Fuente del Cabañil, de la que ahora, como consecuencia de la modernidad, parten dos tuberías que distribuyen el agua por parte del conjunto rural. La pureza y la frescura del afluente, sin embargo, hace que muchos se desplacen todavía a disfrutar de este regalo de la naturaleza. Avanzamos algu-

nos años más y llegamos hasta la Ermita de los Milagros, un lugar santo, fruto de la fe de una vecina de Entrerríos, Gertrudis, en el poder curativo del Señor. Aquejada de una enfermedad que casi le cuesta la vida, esta buena mujer vio en sueños el lugar exacto donde debía construir un santuario divino. La ermita, que se levantó con la colaboración de todos los vecinos, concluyó en 1995 y, milagrosamente, Gertrudis recuperó la salud. Hoy, a pesar de que el acceso a este punto es harto complicado; no faltan los lugareños que peregrinan con frecuencia hasta este enclave sagrado. Los fotógrafos María Gómez, Beatriz Ibáñez, José Acevedo, Antonio Martín y Sergio Infante han sabido captar la esencia y lo mejor de todas ellas. Las mujeres que aparecen forman parte del programa ‘MUCHOXVIVIR’ que la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer ofrece a toda mujer diagnosticada de cáncer de mama y su familia. Esta exposición ha sido posible gracias al trabajo desinteresado de los fotógrafos y la generosidad de los patrocinadores. Petroleros Mijas, Hospital Xanit, Profasán, Inmobiliaria Acapulco. La finalidad de la muestra es transmitir… CON OTRA MIRADA, que es posible “Cáncer y vida”.También que una mamografía a tiempo, salva vidas. Another look is the result of an optimistic vision of a group of women who have gone through breast cancer and whose images have been reflected in the 27 photos that make up the exhibition. Photographers María Gómez, José Acevedo, Antonio Martín, Beatriz Ibañez and Sergio Infante have managed to capture the essence and the best of them all. The women featured are part of the programme ‘MUCHOZVIVIR’ from the Spanish Association against cancer which is offered to all women diagnosed with breast cancer as well as their family. This exhibition has been possible thanks to the selfless work of photographers and the generosity of sponsors. Petroleros Mijas, Xanit Hospital, Profasan and Acapulco real estate. The purpose of the exhibition is to give… a different outlook, it is possible, “Cancer and life”. And with an early mammography you can save lives. Aside of the ‘MUCHOXVIVIR’ programme, the AECC has developed other activities such as the creation of a solidarity calendar.

Pasear por La Cala implica contagiarse de su familiaridad, de sus calles encaladas con olor a salitre, de imágenes que parecen detenidas en el tiempo...unas imágenes que ahora podremos ver en una retrospectiva que nos muestra cómo ha cambiado este núcleo mijeño en los últimos cuarenta años. La exposición, organizada conjuntamente por el área de Cultura y la tenencia de Alcaldía de La Cala, está formada por unas 42 imágenes que han sido aportadas por los propios caleños. La edil, María del Carmen Jiménez, impulsora de la iniciativa, destaca que la exposición es al mismo tiempo “un homenaje y un recuerdo a los vecinos, a la vida de antaño y a lo que ha sido nuestro pueblo”. Si quieren conocer más sobre La Cala, ayer, no duden en acercarse al Centro Cultural de La Cala del 10 de diciembre al 7 de enero.
A stroll through La Cala implicates a familiarity of its streets, whitewashed with the smell of saltpetre, images that appear captured in time... a few of these images can be seen in the retrospective display illustrating how the mijeño nucleus has changed in the last forty years. The exhibition, jointly organised by the area of culture and the Municipal Council Tenure of La Cala, it consists of 42 images that have been provided by the caleños themselves. Councillor, Maria Carmen Jiménez, head of this initiative highlights that this exhibition is “a tribute and a reminder to residents, of the life of yesteryear and its people”. Cabales es un espectáculo puro y racial, una puesta en escena del flamenco más auténtico en la que podemos encontrar palos como la soleá, la seguiriya o la toná, así como una parte más musical y moderna capaz de llegar a un público de diversas edades y culturas. La obra se presentó en el mes de septiembre de 2006 en las murallas del Castillo Sohail con gran éxito de público y crítica. Juan Antonio Pérez comenzó sus estudios de danza en la Escuela de las Artes, en Mijas, a los 8 años con la maestra Rafi Cuevas y desde entonces no ha dejado de formarse como bailarín. Estudió durante más de 12 años con la Lupi y allí coincidió con artistas de la talla de Rafael Amargo, Rafael de Carmen, Juana Maya o Antonio el Pipa. Juan comenzó a enseñar en 1992 y formó su propia Compañía Flamenca, Azabache, con la que ahora nos presenta este espectáculo.

Cabales is a pure and racial spectacle, a staging of the most authentic flamenco in which can found in clubs like la soleá, la siguiriya and la toná, more of a musical and modern leaning capable of reaching audiences of various ages and cultures. The work was presented during September 2006 inside the Sohail castle with great public and critical acclaim. Juan Antonio Pérez began studying dance at the School of Arts in Mijas, at age 8 with teacher Rafi Cuevas and since then has continued training as a dancer. He studied for over 12 years with la Lupi and there met with artists of the stature of Rafael Amargo, Rafael Carmen, Juana Maya and Antonio el Pipa. Juan began teaching in 1992 and formed his own company Flamenca, Azabache, which will present this spectacle.

The Las Lagunas Theatre prepares to receive on stage, ‘A Night with Gabino’, Friday December the 3rd, it is a play that has been written and interpreted by the genial Gabino Diego. With this in mind, Vive Mijas has spoken with the actor and has an exclusive interview of his impressions, dreams and latest projects. An you can get to know him more on the Las Lagunas stage!
Acaba de cumplir 44 años pero sigue transmitiendo ese aire inocente y soñador que ha marcado a todos sus personajes. Gabino Diego accede gustoso a hablar para Vive Mijas y nos cuenta las impresiones que tiene al volver a escena con su sempiterna Noche con Gabino, un espectáculo que lleva interpretando desde hace ya ocho años, pero con variaciones. Con un poco de timidez al inicio, y con mucha más soltura al final, nos revela algunas curiosidades de su vida, se incomoda al hablar de política pero se atreve a cantarnos algunas de las canciones interpretadas por Nono García en ‘Atún y Chocolate’, un álbum producido por el propio Gabino Diego.
Gabino, has nacido y te has criado en Madrid. Pero ¿tienes alguna relación especial con el sur?¿Qué te evoca esta tierra? - Es una tierra que conozco mucho. Sólo puedo decir que me encanta. Precisamente este espectáculo, Una noche con Gabino, lo estrené en Málaga, en el Festival de Teatro hace ya ocho años. Además, otras dos obras mías se han estrenado en Málaga y siempre me ha traído muy buena suerte. ¿Y Mijas?¿la conoces? - Sí. Tengo una amiga de Mijas Costa y he estado alguna vez en su casa. Cuando estoy en vuestra tierra entiendo perfectamente porque los extranjeros deciden quedarse. Las paredes blancas, esa luz tan especial...No me importaría vivir en un sitio así. Precisamente vuelves a Mijas para poner en escena Una noche con Gabino, una obra que lleva 8 años escenificándose. ¿No es mucho tiempo para un espectáculo? - Es una obra que se puede interpretar toda la vida. De lo que habla no tiene tiempo. Es como una piedra que vas puliendo y que cada vez está

mejor. De todas formas se han ido haciendo cambios. Se ha mejorado la iluminación, se han añadido cosas y se ha tratado de hacer un espectáculo más atractivo. Entonces, podríamos decir que es una obra que se ha reinventado a sí misma ¿no? - Algo así. El espectaculo funciona muy bien, es muy divertido. Contiene un hilo argumental que es el de siempre pero se han actualizado cosas para dar más agilidad y diversión al show. Por ejemplo, si en un momento concreto Gabino se enamora y, a raiz de eso comienzan a ocurrir catástrofes internacionales, pueden aparecer personajes como Obama, Rajoy o Hugo Chaves.
Si alguien ha visto ya la obra ¿la reconocerá? - No lo creo. Si le cambio el título sería una obra totalmente diferente. Dejé de hacerla dos años y no la reconocía ni yo mismo (risas). En serio, la gente se lo va a pasar bien. En esencia, sigue siendo Una noche con Gabino, pero ocho años después. Entonces, ¿qué podemos esperar de una noche contigo? - Bueno, será una noche muy divertida, inolvidable. Estoy seguro de que el público se lo va a pasar fenomenal durante una hora y cuarenta minutos. Además, van a ver y escuchar música en directo. Elvis Presley resucita y junto a él podrán ver a unos cincuenta personajes. Imitaciones, canciones...tengo que decir que en ocho años he mejorado mucho como cantante. Ahora, la pregunta que no te han hecho nunca. ¿La obra es autobiográfica o ficción? - Pues un 60% de la obra es autobiográfico y el resto es ficción. Hay cosas que me invento, otras que magnifico, pero buena parte de lo que escenifico soy yo. Cambiando un poco de tercio y viendo tu trayectoria ¿con qué te quedarías? - Tengo que decir que he sido muy afortunado. Para mi edad he trabajado con los mejores de este país. José Luis López Vázquez, Fernando Fernán Gómez, Agustín González... Dedicarme a esto me hace sentir muy bien. El teatro es una madre que siempre te acoge. Es mi vicio. Te permite recorrer toda españa. El cine es mas volátil. Yo siempre soñé, tal vez por influencia de ¡Ay, Carmela!, con ser un cómico itinerante emprendiendo un

Just over 44 years old but still transmitting that innocent and dreamy air that has marked all of his characters. Gabino Diego was happy to talk to Vive Mijas and tells us about his impressions and his return to the stage with his never-ending night with Gabino, a show which has been running for eight years already, but with variations. A little shy in the beginning, but much more at ease in the end, he reveals some peculiarities about his life, uncomfortable to talk about politics but dares to sing us some of the songs performed by Nono García “Tuna and chocolate”, an album produced by Diego Gabino himself.
Gabino, you were born and raised in Madrid. But do you have any special relationship with the South? what evokes you about this land? - it is a land that I know very well. I can only say that I love it. This is precisely the spectacle, A night with Gabino, premiered in Málaga, at the Theatre Festival eight years ago. In addition, two of my works have been premiered in Malaga it has always brought me good luck. ¿And do you know Mijas? - Yes. I have a friend in Mijas Costa, and I was forever in his house. When I’m in your terrain I understand why foreigners decide to stay. The white walls, such a special light...I would not mind living in a place like this. Now you are returning to Mijas to put on stage ‘A night with Gabino’, a play that has been going for 8 years. It’s a long time for a show? -it is a work that can be interpreted through everyday life. The lighting has been improved, things have been added and I have tried to make it an even more attractive show. Then, we could say that it is a work which has re-invented

itself or something? - The show works very well, it is very funny. Contains a storyline thread which is always there but things have been updated to give more agility and fun to the show. For example, if at a particular moment Gabino falls in love, international disasters happen, and characters like Obama, Rajoy or Hugo Chaves may make an appearance. If someone has already seen the work do they recognise it? - I don’t not think so. If you changed the title it would be a completely different work. I stopped making it two years ago and didn’t recognise it nor myself (laughter). Seriously, people will have fun. In essence, it is still A night with Gabino, but eight years on. Then, what we can expect from a night with you? - Well, it will be a lot of fun, an unforgettable night. I am sure that the public will have a phenomenal time for an hour and forty minutes. And they will also watch and listen to live music. Elvis Presley is
resurrected and you will see some fifty well known people, imitations, songs... I must say that I have improved greatly in eight years as a singer. Now, the question that you have never answered. Is this autobiographical work or fiction? -60% Of the work is autobiographical and the rest is fiction. There are things that I invented, others that are splendid, but much of what is staged, is me. Changing tack a little and looking at your career what would you stay with? - I must say that I have been very fortunate. I have worked with the best in this country in my era. José Luis López Vázquez, Fernando Fernán Gómez, Agustin Gonzalez... this makes me feel very good. The theatre is a mother that always welcomes you. It is my Vice. It allows you to travel throughout Spain. Film is more volatile. I always dreamt, perhaps under the influence of Ay Carmela!, being a traveller, taking a trip anywhere as a nationwide comic.

Háblanos de los personajes que interpretarás en Mijas... - Hay mucha disparidad.Está Jim Romay, que era el yonki de mi barrio, Agustín González o mi propia abuela. A ella la incluyo porque es una forma de homenajear a esas abuelas que entienden mejor al nieto que sus propios padres. Yo le tengo mucho cariño a mi abuela y siempre recuerdo el traje de Elvis Presley que me hizo cuando yo era pequeño. Por cierto, hablando de personajes, ¿te da rabia que el público se haya quedado fundamentalmente con tu interpretación de Cuco en Torrente? - La gente se acuerda de lo que le da la gana. Y creo que, en este caso, se acuerda de Torrente porque era muy bueno. Me parece tan bueno o
mejor que el resto de papeles. Que la gente me lo valore por la calle me parece fantástico. Divertir de esa manera me hace sentir muy útil. Hace poco unos espectádores me decían que si reir alarga la vida, Gabino nos la había alargado. Imagina como se siente uno al oir eso. Es como si fuera un terapeuta del humor. A nivel personal, ya has superado la barrera de los cuarenta, la famosa crisis. Hasta ahora siempre habías interpretado personajes algo soñadores, juveniles ¿Te preocupa no adaptarte a un perfil más maduro? - Bueno, creo que ya lo estoy haciendo. Tengo 44 años. Ya no soy un adolescente, pero puedo ser tonto y despistado también con 44. Uno va creciendo y va tratando de adaptarse a los tiempos. En esta profesión siempre

esperamos que nos ofrezcan cosas, pero las riendas del futuro las tienes tú mismo. A mi me hacen muchas ofertas, pero trato de hacer siempre lo que quiero. No siempre se puede pero, al menos, lo intento. Hay que defender lo que haces y explicar porqué lo has hecho. Es complicado defender algo en lo que no crees. Leí una entrevista en la que contabas una anécdota sobre tu cumpleaños...no sé si es cierta... - (Risas). Pues sí. Mis padres son cubanos hijos de españoles. Cuando todo el tema de la revolución volvieron para España y justo ahí nací yo. Fue un follón. Mi padre fue a registrarme pero faltaban algunos papeles, así que aunque yo nací el 6 de septiembre no me inscribieron hasta el día 18, con lo cual,

Era muy gracioso, porque cuando alguien llamaba a casa y lo cogía ella siempre me preguntaban si era mi chacha dominicana (risas). Fuera de bromas, me gusta mucho ser cosmopolita. abuelo en Nueva York, un tío en Londres... son del mundo entero. Yo estoy separado y tengo una hija que vive en Cataluña. A raíz de eso, conozco mucho esa zona, la entiendo... en definitiva, que me gusta ser de muchos sitios. ¿Con qué personaje te quedarías de todos los que has interpretado? - Le tengo mucho cariño a todos. Todos para mi son importantes, a todos les he puesto mucho cariño. Cuando hago una obra me levanto cada día pensando que es una obra maestra. Por eso no hago diferencia entre Torrente y el Rey pasmado. A Torrente le tengo mucho cariño porque lo pasé muy bien durante el rodaje en Marbella. Es una tierra privilegiada, el sol, la luz... todo unido hace que uno se sienta muy agusto ahí.
También guardo muy buenos recuerdos de Belle Epoque, o de Amanece que no es poco, de José Luis Cuerda... ¿Sabes que el magazín matutino de Radio Mijas se llama Amanece que no es poco?Es una película que le gusta mucho a nuestra compañera Patricia Murillo, que conduce el programa. - ¿Sí?(Risas). Pues dile a tu compañera que luego rodamos Desde que amanece, apetece. Tengo muchas anécdotas relacionadas con esa película. Recuerdo que fuimos a una radio de corte religioso para promocionarla y cuando llegamos nos dijeron que podíamos hablar de todo menos de la película. Dijeron que con ese título...Claro, nosotros les decíamos que desde que amanece pueden apetecer muchas cosas, rezar, ir a misa... (risas).

Tell us about the characters you have interpreted... - There are many. Jim Romay, who was my neighbour, Agustin Gonzalez yonki and my own grandmother. It is a way of paying tribute to grandmothers who understand their grandson better than his own parents. I have great affection for my grandmother and I always remember the Elvis Presley suit she made me when I was young. Incidentally, talking about famous people, what gave you the anger that the public witnessed with your interpretation of Cuco in Torrente? -People will remember what they want to remember. And I think that, in this case, they remember Torrente because it was very good. It seems to me as good or better than the rest of roles. That people in the
street valued me is fantastic. Entertaining this way makes me feel very useful. Recently a few of the audience told me that if people laugh it prolongs life, Gabino has lengthened it somewhat. Imagine how you feel on hearing that. It is as if you are a humour therapist. On a personal level, You have already exceeded the 40s barrier ‘, the famous midlife crisis. Until now you always portrayed famous people as dreamers, juveniles, are you worried about not adapting to a more mature profile? -Well, I think that I am already doing this. I am 44 years old. I am no longer a teenager, but I can be stupid and dumb also with 44 years. One is always growing and trying to adapt to the times. In this profession you always hope that things will be offered to you. I receive many offers, but I try to always

do what I want. This is not always possible, but at least I try. We must defend what we do and explain why we have done so and is difficult to defend something that you’re not convinced of. I read an interview where you told an an anecdote about your birthday... I don’t know if is true... - (laughter). Well yes. My parents are Cuban Spanish children. When the whole issue of revolution returned to Spain and I was born there. It was a mess. My father went to register me but there were some papers missing, so even though I was born on the 6th of September I was not registered until the 18th, with which, for practical purposes, my birthday is the 18th. I never celebrate that day, but I do celebrate the 6th. There is much messing around
with this. My friends always wish me the best on the 6th, so if someone celebrated it on the 18th they read it in the press, which is not a friend, (laughter). Did you have a Cuban past. What is your relationship with that country? - I’ve been there about five times and I even have a Cuban passport. At home, my mother always cooked Cuban Food and naturally retains her accent. It was very funny, because when someone called at the house and caught it they always questioned me about whether it was my Dominican chacha (laughter). Enough of the jokes, I really like being cosmopolitan. Learning about many things. I envy those Jews who have a grandfather in New York, an uncle in London... they are all over the
World I am separated and I have a daughter who lives in Catalonia. Because of this, I know much about that area, see it... in short, I like to be in many areas. What personality that you have played, will remain with you forever? - You know, I have great affection for all of them. All for me are important, I have great affection for all. I have many anecdotes related to that film. I remember we went to a religious court radio to promote it and when we arrived we were told that we could talk about anything but the film. Vuelve el deporte de contacto a la Ciudad Deportiva de Las Lagunas. El próximo 11 de diciembre, a las 9 de la noche, el recinto lagunero acogerá una velada en la que participarán los mejores boxeadores de España, Francia y Portugal.
El VII aniversario de este torneo se celebrará el 11 de diciembre. A las ocho de la mañana se hará un tiro, y, el otro, tendrá lugar a la una del mediodía. Se trata de una competición de 18 hoyos y de modalidad de stableford (sistema de puntuación en el que se tiene en cuenta el handicap de los jugadores. Durante el torneo, habrá avituallamiento y un buffet de aperitivos. Y tras la entrega de premios, se ofrecerá una comida a los participantes. El precio de la inscripción es de 25 euros.El año pasado, participaron 114 jugadores de diferentes puntos de la Costa del Sol. The VII anniversary of this tournament will be held on December the 11th at 8am with a shot gun start and the other one will take place at noon. This is an 18 hole stableford competition (which takes into account the scoring system of the players handicaps.) During the tournament, there will be a buffet of appetizers. And after the awards ceremony, a meal will be provided for the participants. Registration is 5 euros. Last year, 114 players participated from all over the Costa del Sol.

El 19 de diciembre, de 10 a 14 horas, el Club de Aeromodelismo ‘Alas de Mijas’ celebra en el pabellón cubierto de Las Lagunas una exhibición de vuelo indoor. La organización espera la llegada de muchos participantes locales e, incluso, de otros clubes de aeromodelismo de Málaga y Andalucía. A lo largo de la mañana podremos ver volar aviones 3D, maquetas a escala muy reducidas de aviones reales, y helicópteros desde 9 gr. hasta 150 gr. Además, el club instalará una pantalla con simulador de radiocontrol para que los niños, a modo de juego, también puedan participar. On the 19th of December from 10am to 2pm, ‘Alas de Mijas’ Aeromodelling Club in Las Lagunas celebrates an indoor air show inside a large pavillion. The organisation expects the arrival of many local participants and, even, other Málaga and Andalucia aeromodelling clubs. In the morning we will see flying 3D aircraft, very small scale models of real aircraft and helicopters from 9gr. up to 150gr. The club will also install a screen with a radio control simulator to allow children to play, and you can also participate.

Unas 40 asociaciones de Mijas participan en esta celebración con la que dan la bienvenida a la Navidad. Por primera vez, se une a la fiesta la Asociación de Celíacos de Mijas, creada recientemente. A lo largo de la velada, no faltarán la comida, los dulces navideños, el aguardiente y una decena de actuaciones musicales y de baile. El espacio es limitado, así que, para evitar aglomeraciones, todos los socios deberán entrar con su carné. No obstante, cada asociación podrá repartir hasta 20 invitaciones. El Ayuntamiento, por su parte, también entregará pases para aquellos vecinos que no quieran perderse este momento. Mijas Comunicación acompañará a los colectivos en esta jornada tan especial. De hecho, emitirá los mejores momentos de esta fiesta en la tarde de Nochebuena.
A wonderful feast will be celebrated on December the 11th, in the polideportivo Las Cañadas. About 40 Mijas associations will take part in this fiesta to welcome Christmas. For the first year, the recently created Celiac Disease Mijas Association joins the event. During the evening, there will be around a dozen live music performances and dance, and of course typical Christmas sweets and food. La magia de la música clásica llega el 18 de diciembre al Teatro Las Lagunas. La Joven Orquesta Provincial de Málaga (JOPMA) será la encargada de interpretar una selección de composiciones clásicas para realizar un emotivo concierto de Navidad. La Asociación Joven Orquesta Provincial de Málaga tiene como objetivo el sostenimiento y promoción de su orquesta, el fomento de la afición musical en Málaga y Andalucía, así como la ayuda a niños y jóvenes estudiantes de música, ofreciéndoles una formación integral que les permita iniciarse, prepararse o especializarse en la práctica colectiva de la música.
The magic of classical music reaches the Las Lagunas Theatre on the 18th of December. The Malaga Provincial Youth Orchestra (JOPMA) will be in charge of interpreting a selection of classical compositions to perform a sentimental Christmas concert. The Malaga Provincial Youth Orchestra Association aims to sustain and promote this Orchestra as well as the promotion of music in Málaga and Andalucia. They also help children and young students of music, offering comprehensive training that enables them to start, prepare or specialize in practices in music.
El mes de diciembre nos deja también la última de las verbenas del año. Los encargados de cerrar el calendario festivo serán los miembros de la Peña Xerecista que celebrarán una fiesta el 11 de diciembre. La celebración comenzará a las 12 y se prolongará todo el día. Durante la jornada, podremos probar platos típicos como potajes, berzas o callos, y también disfrutaremos de villancicos flamencos a cargo del coro de la peña. Those responsible for closing the festive calendar will be members of the Peña Xerecista who are holding a celebration on December the 18th. It will begin at 12 noon and continue throughout the day. Un año más, la plaza Virgen de la Peña se convierte en el escenario del Certamen de Pastorales de Mijas. Este año, la cita musical se celebrará el 19 de diciembre en una carpa instalada en este lugar. Como ya viene siendo habitual, a lo largo de la cita, podremos ver formaciones de diferentes puntos de la provincia. Según el programa, este año participarán unas 20 agrupaciones. Once again, the Plaza Virgen de la Peña is transformed into a pastorals stage with the Certamen de Pastorales of Mijas. This year, the musical event will be held December the 19th in a small marquee installed at this location. As usual, we will see groups from different areas of the province. Depending on the programme, there will be approximately 20 associations participating.
