Pleatpod
The Pleatpod by Zilka Studio was applause for its design and construction of a flexible meeting to be deployed in ope plan offices. The prototypes demonstrates a colourful meeting space generates by a pleated script than can be folded away so that open spaces can be utilised without the interference of permanent spaces. Th exterior and interior are constructed of acoustic felt material. The interior will also have glow fabric inserts that activates when the light providing the ambient light when presentation occurs. The fabrication of the pod will occurs at RMIT University using advanced manufacturing technologies in architecture and fabric design.

The Pleat Pavillion is a commendation project from NGV. It is a collaboration between architecture and textile design that looks to techniques in fashion to transform ordinary shade cloth material (PTFE) in to extraordinary piece of architecture. It incorporates the delicateness and lightness of garment of garment techniques into architectural space via digital designand manufacturing processes.

Through the use of the pleat techniques, it demonstrates how a simple fold when modelled and scripted and parametrically can produce a courture-like structure that bridges fashion and architecture.
