ICF & Welko can pride itself on over forty years of experience in the application of technological processes in the food industry. Technologists and engineers with recognized professionalism, with over twenty years of experience in coffee, chocolate and tea mixtures processing and agglomerated soluble production, have led to the elaboration of this brochure, that wants to be a guide line to enable the users of these technologies to make a right choice for an excellent

quality with a reasonable investment. We want to underline the importance of the choice of good-quality raw materials, their origin and the processing of the mixtures that have to meet the market’s requirements, and thus, the taste of the final user. Spray drying

Concentration of coffee extract, coffee substitutes, tea and similar. The equipment is composed by a multiple effect falling film evaporator with a finisher stage. It allows very high final solids concentration.

Continuous drying of concentrated coffee extract, tea & herbal extracts. The spray dryer uses high pressure nozzle system and is especially designed for processing vegetable extracts retaining the maximum aroma and producing readily soluble powders. The equipment works in cocurrent mode and is complete with a fluidize bed dryer to stabilize and cool the final powder.

The agglomerator uses a cocurrent re-wetting system to increase moisture on powder particles, causing the single particles to become sticky and helping granules formation. Wet agglomerates are then dried to obtain instant granules with exceptional solubility properties.

The freeze drying technology allows to save delicate aromas while drying the frozen product under vacuum, and producing premium quality product. The ice contained in the product is sublimated, hence transformed from solid to gas and trapped inside the condensation system. Premium sensorial properties for finished product.
