BIMOTRIM CO INJECTION Presentation A clear, pale pink/brown sterile, aqueous solution for parenteral administration.

Each ml contains: 200mg Sulfadoxine and 40mg Trimethoprim.

Uses For the treatment of a wide range of diseases and conditions of bacterial origin in cattle.

Bimotrim Co is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including: Streptococci, Staphylococci, Salmonella spp, Pasteurella spp, Pneumococci, Escherichia coli, Brucella spp, Proteus spp, Vibrio spp, Corynebacteria and Klebsiella.

Dosage and Administration By slow intravenous or intramuscular injection.

Intramuscular injection is the preferred route of administration and should be given into the neck. One ml per 16kg bodyweight (equivalent to 12.5mg sulphadoxine and 2.5mg trimethoprim per kg bodyweight). Treatment must be given until 2 days after clinical signs have resolved, up to a maximum of 5 days.

Contra-indications, Warnings, etc.

Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.

Occasional temporary irritating swellings may appear at the site of injection.

Withdrawal Periods Milk for human consumption must not be taken during treatment. Milk for human consumption may only be taken after 48 hours from the last treatment. Cattle may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 5 days from the last treatment.

Pharmaceutical Precautions Do not store above 25°C. Protect from light.

Following withdrawal of the first dose, use the product within 28 days.

Discard any unused solution after 28 days.

Avoid the introduction of contamination during use.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

For animal treatment only.
