CONTENTS
VNTD Magazine was always been a joint venture but we wanted the publication to stand up by itself rather than be associated with a particular individual. We felt the only way to ensure that the magazine was attributed equally was to not include our names at all. This would avoid the possibility of friction between us as we fought to publicise ourselves in a compulsive tagging game. This brings us to the title: Friction. We continue to follow the adventures of our red-hooded character once more on the rooftops of the city. The cinematic cult of ‘The Bride of Frankenstein’ approaches its 75th Anniversary and we explore the adversity between the monster and creator. As always, our contributors inject their cultural opinions on a variety of recent themes. Finally, our primary shoot explores the contemporary James Bond as we force the symbol of masculinity into the realms of androgynism.
