MEET TAWANA LOWERY FROM BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA host of the Friday edition of Women World Leaders’ Podcast, Celebrating God’s Grace. This has truly been an amazing opportunity for which I am eternally grateful. Not surprisingly, God had already spoken to me about beginning a podcast by October 2023. Another Kairos moment! And if that were not enough, I received my first Voice of Truth magazine and was very impressed. The quality of the articles and the exquisite design make this a topshelf publication rivaling anything the secular world has to offer.
Last April, after our Miss Overcomer women’s event, I received a call from my dear friend Candace Kirkpatrick. She inquired if I knew about Women World Leaders or their founder, Kimberly Hobbs. I replied that I was not aware but would love to learn more. Candace continued, “I’m going to send an introduction text. The two of you need to meet because you’re closely aligned in your mission for women, and you both have a global focus.” A few days later, I was on a Zoom call with Kimberly, and the connection was immediate! It truly felt as if we had known each other for years. As we shared our hearts about the ministries and the vision God had given us, it became very apparent we were in the middle of a Kairos moment! Our great God had divinely connected Women World Leaders and Miss Overcomer Global to seek Him for what He wanted us to do together for His precious daughters. Shortly after, I had the pleasure of being a guest on the Women World Leaders’ Podcast. It was so much fun. After Kimberly interviewed me for the Monday edition, Empowering Lives with Purpose, we stayed on the call for 30 minutes, talking about all God wants to accomplish through his daughter ambassadors and their vital role in advancing His kingdom. Kimberly then asked if I would be interested in becoming a regular contributor to the podcast. I am now a monthly 100
It gives me great joy to share this with you because I believe we are in a pivotal moment in history where the Lord is marshaling His daughters for greatness. We have a magnanimous calling and assignment to represent our great King and His eternal kingdom. What a humbling honor it is to co-create with Him as we collaborate with each other for the sake of the harvest! As daughters of the Most High King, we are called to pray for and seek divine kingdom connections. The Lord’s heart is that we accomplish His plan of global salvation in community with the body of believers. That is exactly what Women World Leaders is doing. And I am ecstatic He graced my life with this ministry and the community it represents. I consider these connections “dress rehearsals” for the day we rule and reign with our Savior for eternity. It gives me great joy when I think about the moment we will witness each other receiving crowns from our King. All the struggle, all the doubt, and all the sleepless nights will be well worth it on that day! Thank you, Kimberly and your incredible team, for inviting me (and Miss Overcomer) to walk alongside you. You are all giants of The Faith; your commitment and sacrifice strengthen my own. Who knew “iron sharpening iron” included lipstick, hairspray, and lots of pink?! But we are Women World Leaders, after all!
