MEET MARY KAY INGLIS FROM CALIFORNIA Written by Kimberly Ewell in honor of her best friend. I was sitting on my sofa when, out of nowhere, I heard in my heart, “Bring Mary Kay to Florida!” I thought, Well, okay, Lord, that was random. But I will if you want me to. I’ve learned when God says to do something, we don’t need to know the why or how; we just need to do it! I paused a moment, then called MK. I said, “Girl! This may sound crazy, but God told me to bring you to Florida.” When I heard her giggle and say, “OMG,” I knew God was up to something! She said, “The Lord just told me to LIVE LIFE!” “Let’s do it!” I didn’t tell her the Lord told me she was to fly the BEST. So, I booked a first-class flight for my dear friend. I didn’t have the means to pay for a first-class flight; however, because of obedience, He provided. When MK arrived in Florida, we had no idea why she was here, but we believed and knew God had a purpose. I felt a tug in my heart to introduce MK to Kimberly Hobbs and that MK was to write her story in the upcoming book Unshakable. I handed MK a Voice of Truth magazine, and she had that same giggle and said, “OMG! Before coming to Florida, I kept seeing yellow butterflies, and look! The magazine has butterflies on the cover.” There was no doubt God was confirming what I suspected. Just days later, MK was sharing her heart and story with Kimberly. They arranged a WWL podcast interview and for MK to write her Unshakable story. Watching God orchestrate His purpose through the two of them was an honor. During MK’s stay, I watched God start transforming her. We’d make plans, but God would interrupt them and heal her heart of deep-seated unforgiveness. He was freeing her from her cocoon and transforming her into a beautiful yellow butterfly. You see, MK had cancer. She rarely spoke of it, nor did she ever complain. Her faith was in the Lord; she knew she had already been healed at the cross 2,000 years ago. Her mission was to share her “Submission to Freedom” story, and her desire was for women to walk closer with Jesus. Kimberly and MK set September 13,
2023, to record the “Submission to Freedom” podcast. However, the morning she was to record the podcast, MK went home to Jesus. Kimberly and I both heard in our hearts that the podcast still needed to be done. Because of obedience, MK’s story is now being shared around the world. God knew who the “Submission to Freedom” was meant for, and they’re listening to it now. (The podcast, Women World Leaders’ Podcast episode 487, can be heard on all podcast outlets and at womenworldleaders. com) I had a vision the day MK went home. Jesus was waiting for her with His hand held out. She took His hand, and Jesus took her on a tour of heaven. My beautiful friend has fully transformed into freedom and is now walking with Jesus. Glory to God that His purpose is being fulfilled.
