What are the Rings of Breadalbane? The Rings are a new way to discover the ancient landscapes of the High Ground of Scotland. See the map overleaf to find out where they are.
The Ring of Breadalbane Explorer Bus: A hop-on hop-off bus service that also carries bikes, buggies and dogs at no extra cost. For more info see the back panel or visit breadalbane.org.
The 5-Lochs Trail Cycle Ring: An epic 121-mile, 6-day ride alongside lochs and mountain valleys. Mainly on traffic-free paths, tracks and quiet roads. Some sections are suitable for families.
The Clan Walk Ring: A challenging new 6-day circular long distance walk. The route explores the southern edge of the Highlands, from where clans raided livestock from their Lowland neighbours.
The 100-Miler Road Cycle Ring: 100 miles taking in some of the most breath-taking scenery (and climbs!) in Scotland.
The Tay Walk Ring: An excellent introduction to Breadalbane and can easily be walked over a weekend. The route explores the magnificent scenery of upper Strath Tay – a broad, fertile valley with waterfalls cascading down its steep sides.
Drop at the Top Routes are for people who like to take it easy on a bike. Go downhill all (or nearly all) the way. You get back to where you want to be with your bike using the Explorer bus and its free bike trailer. Ideal for families.
The Breadalbane Golf Trail: four 18-hole and five 9-hole courses, plus a 9-hole par-3 course. All of these beautiful courses on the Ring of Breadalbane Explorer route enjoy spectacular settings and stunning Highland scenery.
There are many more mini-rings that can be walked or cycled in a day or less. Visit breadalbane.org to discover them.
