The Breakdown Tennessee continues its road schedule Saturday when the Vols travel to Athens to face Georgia. Both schools are in search of their first Southeastern Conference win of 2010, and the Bulldogs are looking to snap a four-game losing streak. Saturday’s game starts at 12:21 p.m. Eastern time and will be televised by the SEC Network.

The Series  This week’s game is the third in SEC play for the Vols this year and the first trip to Athens since a 26-14 loss on Oct. 11, 2008...Tennessee won 45-19 in 2009, and the 26-point margin marked the largest win for either team in the series since a 38-6 UT win in 1993 in Knoxville.  The Vols own a 21-16-2 edge in the series, including a 10-8-1 advantage in Athens and an 11-8-1 series lead in Knoxville...Tennessee has won three of the last four meetings and four of the last six, including two of the last three in Athens (despite losses in three of the last

five vs. the Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium.  The series history prior to 2004 is marked by streaks of dominance...Georgia won four in a row from 200003 following a streak of nine consecutive Tennessee wins beginning in 1989 that include eight years in a row from 1992-99.  The 2010 meeting marks the first time since 193637 that neither the Vols or Bulldogs have been ranked in the AP poll at the time of their matchup in consecutive years.

For Starters: Recapping Baton Rouge Last Week: LSU 16, Tennessee 14

 A 1-yard touchdown run on the last play of the game allowed LSU to outscore the Vols 16-14 in Baton Rouge...the loss was only the second for Tennessee in its last five trips to Tiger Stadium.  The Vols held LSU to seven points in the first half, the fourth time in their last seven SEC games in which they have held opponents to under 10 firsthalf points.  Tennessee allowed touchdowns on the first (83yard run by Jordan Jefferson) and last (1-yard run by Steven Ridley), but held the Tigers to only a field goal otherwise.  Tauren Poole recorded his third 100-yard game... receiver Gerald Jones returned to the lineup after missing three games and led the team with five catches for 46 yards.  Senior linebacker Nick Reveiz led the Vols with 10 tackles, his 4th consecutive 10-tackle game...Reveiz leads the SEC with 50 tackles this season and also recorded his first career interception in the 4th quarter.  Sophomore free safety and Lake Charles, La., native Janzen Jackson intercepted a pass in the 1st quarter (2nd career) and returned it 14 yards...he

Inside the Conference

 Tennessee has won six of its last eight vs. SEC East teams...the Vols are playing conference road games in consecutive weeks for the first time since 2007 (Oct. 13 at Miss. St.; Oct. 20 at Alabama.
