Ame High is a small town business located in Medford, Wisconsin selling custom outdoor fire pit pokers. Each one is a consistently beautiful, hand-crafted work of art.

One evening early on her woodworking career, Amy was sitting around the campfire looking around for a stick to stir up embers and decided it would be nice to have something to keep the fire going. The wheels began to turn and Amy put her woodworking skills to the test creating the best-looking handle whilst working the metal tip to make it functional, yet elegant.

Amy creates watercolor paintings, prints and notecards. Images are of landscapes, flowers, fish and familiar places to this artist from Eau Claire Wisconsin who has been living in Aspen, Colorado since 1978.

Painting scenes of the Eau Claire area and turning them into cards has been a way to share for Amy to share her love of this special place that she grew up in. When Amy's not painting she can be found doing serious research in the great outdoors for future art projects.

Over 90 years of cheesemaking experience show through since Hook’s cheeses have won numerous grand champion awards at the county, state, American Cheese Society, and world championship levels.

There were entries from fourteen states and sixteen countries. Julie Hook was, and still is, the only woman to win the World Championship! Hook’s was then founded.
