Fiji Golf Week 2023 “We joined Voyages.golf on the 2023 trip to Fiji and had a fabulous week. All the activities were so well organised - everything we needed seemed to just quietly appear - transfers, bags, carts, food which made for an incredibly enjoyable and relaxing experience. Another thing we really appreciated was the detailed communication before the trip and Harry's responsiveness to specific questions we had. If you go, don't skip the midweek cruise to Tivua island, it's a real highlight!” - Claudia L

Hawaii Tour 2022 “We enjoyed a golf trip of a lifetime to Hawaii. Playing 9 rounds of golf on 4 islands. The organisation was excellent, golf and accommodation were fantastic. 12 people were in the group, and all had a great time . The team at Voyages.golf well and truly looked after our group and made sure that we all had a wonderful experience.” - Linda S Hawaii Tour 2022 “Fantastic trip to Hawaii with the Voyages golf group. Excellent choice of golf courses and accommodation and a fun group to be with. The Voyages group take care of everything and sort out any unexpected problems quickly and smoothly. This was my 4th trip with them and I keep coming back because of what they offer in great golf adventures and the care they take to make it an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to my next trip with them” - Steve R Scotland Tour 2022 “A sensational Highlands Golf Tour with a terrific group of people. It was a links golfing pilgrimage playing the first class / classic courses while enjoying the finest hospitality at some wonderful establishments. Thanks Harry!” - Terri A

Foreword It’s been five long years since we last toured South Africa. Last time we chartered the Rovos Rail for an epic journey through the North. This tour focusses on exploring the famous Garden Route in-depth.

This inclusive escorted golf tour has it all, with a luxury twist. Enjoy small-group game drives at a private game reserve near Port Elizabeth (see the Big Five), as well as nine rounds of golf at South Africa’s top-rated courses. All golf courses on the tour have been carefully selected and rate among Africa’s top courses.

All hotels are boutique, 5-star luxury. Your Voyages.golf tour hosts can vouch for their quality. This tour is escorted by the owners Glenn & Gayle Hedley, who have been taking tours to South Africa since 1993 and are well versed in the geography, customs and history of South Africa.

This is a truly bucket-list experience, designed for those who want to achieve the following: ➢ Play the best golf courses in South Africa ➢ Enjoy 3-nights at a private game reserve with small-group game drives ➢ Explore the Garden Route in depth

➢ Take a trip to SA with a group of likeminded golfers (& non-golfing partners) ➢ Enjoy a high-quality trip with 5-star hotels throughout

Golf Pairings & Format

This golf tour is available to anyone. It is not a golf tournament or competition. Nominal prizes will be awarded for daily winners, NTP’s, and overall winners. If you do not have a registered golf handicap and haven’t had one for more than 12 months, we will automatically give you one according to the Rules of Golf (USGA/R&A).

You may join the tour either as a golfer or non-golfer, but you cannot choose which rounds to play; in other words, you need to commit to the tour as either a golfer or non-golfer. The aspect of playing golf on the tour is a central part to

this trip, but it is also about meeting other people, playing golf with newfound friends and making lifelong memories with as much emphasis placed on enjoying South Africa’s world-class hospitality and of course the sightseeing opportunities involved. Non-golfers are always welcome to join this tour.

Daily golf pairings will be announced each morning and will be mixed.. If travelling as part of a larger party, you will get the opportunity to play together, as well as mixed pairings to ensure everyone plays together. If you have any specific requests regarding the pairings, please let us know at the time of booking. 8

Itinerary Day 1, Monday 03 March - Arrivals From 15.00

Arrive in Cape Town Airport & Transfer to the 5-star Victoria & Alfred Hotel, overlooking Cape Town’s spectacular harbour.

We jump right into it with a special visit to Table Mountain, followed by our official Welcome Dinner to kickstart an amazing journey to come. Exact timings will be published closer to departure. Dinner venue TBC.

Day 2, Tuesday 04 March – Sightseeing with Lunch 09.00

After breakfast at your leisure, meet at the lobby for full-day tour of Cape Point National Park. Cape Point National Park is a promontory of outstanding natural beauty and history. It became a point of interest for sailors attempting to make an eastern journey to the East and was first navigated by Portuguese sailor Bartolomeu Dias in 1488. The evening is free to spend at your leisure. The V&A Hotel has been specifically chosen for its proximity to local restaurants and shops, so you don’t need to wander far to enjoy the best food in South Africa.

Day 3, Wednesday 05 March – Golf 09.00

For our first round of golf, we head to Milnerton Links. Although not described as a gem in South Africa’s golfing crown, Milnerton is a seaside links which is a hidden gem in South Africa’s golfing repertoire. The views of Table Bay are simply jaw-dropping, and the course plays like a classic seaside links that one would find in the UK. Our first and last golf rounds are played by the water, and we think this is the best way to build the excitement for what’s to come. The evening is free to spend your leisure. Your tour leaders are always available and every night we have an open invitation to join us for 12 dinner if you haven’t made your own plans.

Day 4, Thursday 06 March – Sightseeing with Lunch 09.00

Today we head to Robben Island with lunch included. The ferry departs from outside the V&A Hotel so there is no need to rush. Originally settled as a Dutch penal colony, Robben Island has a long & colourful history as a mental asylum, leper colony, hospital, military base, and most recently a museum. The evening is free to spend at your leisure. Ask your tour hosts for the best restaurants – we’ve been here plenty of times.

Victoria & Alfred Hotel, Cape Town

Day 5, Friday 07 March - Golf 10.00

After breakfast at your leisure, we’ll head to the picturesque Steenberg Golf Club. Designed by Peter Maktovich (A name you’ll recognise after this trip), this is an award-winning parkland course with amazing views. An interesting feature of South African golf are the half-way houses on after 9 holes. You’ll spend a good 20-30 minutes enjoying a snack, light meal or a drink before heading out to complete the back nine.

This evening is free to spend at your leisure. Some of the best restaurants in Cape Town are: Fyn, Pier, Clark’s, Galjoen, The Pot Luck Club, and Belly of the Beast. Ask concierge to make your dinner bookings – they are extremely helpful.

13

Itinerary Day 6, Saturday 08 March - Golf 09.00

After breakfast at your leisure, meet in the lobby ready to depart the nearby Clovelly Country Club. Designed by Dr Charles Murray, this is a favourite for Cape Town Residents. Featured in Africa’s Top 50 Courses, Clovelly is a parkland track that dates back to 1934. This Estate feels like a ‘locals-only’ club, but the people are super friendly and you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Our final night in Cape Town is free to spend at your leisure. As always, there is an open invitation to join your Voyages.golf tour hosts for dinner.

Day 7, Sunday 09 March – Winery Tour & Lunch 10.00

After breakfast & check-out, we’ll head up to the hills for two nights at the stunning boutique Lanzerac Hotel, but not before our winery tour with lunch included. We’ll taste local wines and learn about the history of Stellenbosch as it became infused with rows of grape vines over the decades. The area was first inhabited in 1685, and grape vines followed shortly after in the 1690s. It has since enjoyed a long history of producing some of the world’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Bordeaux Blends.
