by Natalie Wo, London Style Contributor The Teatum Jones Autumn/Winter 2018 collection was inspired by a collective of 25 unique women who embody the Teatum Jones spirit of boldness, confidence and creativity. Jones picked women from different age groups, ethnicities and social backgrounds, then each female was asked the same three questions surrounding instinctive human emotions. The 25 women who participated in the Global Womanhood study included Caryn Franklin MBE, Munroe Bergdorf, model and activist, and Clara Amfo, BBC Radio presenter. Each woman shared moments of intense joy, hope, sadness and exercised their freedom to express emotions, empowerment and feminity. See more by visitiing #TJwomen #globalwomanhood. The Teatum Jones AW18 collection was presented in three chapters of instinctive emotions—joy, sadness and hope through a series of oversized florals, geometric and asymmetric shapes, volume and movement. The Teatum women who walked the runway included Caryn Franklins, Munroe Bergdorf and singer Foxes. As the Global Womanhood study played on the big screen, we witnessed an explosive palette of red, navy, burgundy, mustard, fuchsia, pinks and crisp white and blue. Teatum’s women wore oversized florals, neon pinks intertwined into vibrant red organza and pleated asymmetric handkerchief skirts matched with gathered bell sleeves or wide leg trousers. The collection also included signature tops, cut-out eyelets on statement coats and shirts, hand painted florals on jacquard jackets and the redesigned shirt dress. Sensual two-toned magenta and orange-burst power suits had an update of strong shoulder lines romantically partnered with wide leg, deep-pleated trousers with pockets and Christian Louboutin chunky front mules mellowed down with silver ceramic jewellery by All Blues.
