Self-taught photographer Ashanti Jason is 33, living in London. She is a diverse photographer running photography lifestyle blog Adorngirl. As each season of London Fashion Week approaches, we eagerly await the latest collection from this talented gentleman. Not only is it the collection, but it’s the experience of attending a Paul Costelloe catwalk and presentation. This showman combines the best of both worlds, giving each fortunate attendee the ability to watch each creation float by on the runway while also providing an intimate look at each piece while interacting with the models (not to mention with the talented designer himself) via a post presentation event. It’s festive, entertaining and one which this editor could actually sit there all day and enjoy – but alas, all good things must come to an end and there are other collections to discover. First things, first. A Paul Costelloe collection embodies refined sophistication. He blends beautiful tailoring with modern elements and adds a dash of sex appeal to give select pieces that extra wow factor and intrigue. For this season, there was a blending of plaids, florals, sleek tops with voluminous skirting and layers, to puff sleeves and of course, Paul doesn’t forget about the gents with tailored pieces that make any man dashing. And as for color and patterns, there was a color palette of rich, seasonal hues to bolder, unexpected pops of color to add drama, but again, sophisticated drama. And as we present the latest Autumn/Winter collection to you, we wanted to focus on the details and the special moments captured during the event.
