1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
Over the year I have developed skills such as working effectively with other people under difficult time scales. I have developed and improved my skills in concept thinking and effective planning. The quality and standard of my work has improved because of these skills. My crafting skills have also developed allowing me to create successful outcomes.
2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
This year I have made more of a conscious effort to improve and try product and packaging design I feel like this has really benefited me especially when I am going to a studio that specialises in product and packaging. Other methods would be research for many of my projects this year and throughout cop. The research taken has been primary research, which has been conducted in the form of an interview. These Interviews have informed the design process as its allowed me to find things out about the brands and there personality’s,
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?
Strength of mine throughout the module would be taking the time to experiment and produce mock-ups before creating the final piece. Taking the time for small little tweaks that will make a bigger difference as a whole to the brief. Another strength would be my idea generation I have found a lot of my briefs this year that were self-initiated have strong concepts and a good body of work.
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future? A weakness of mine would be my time management I feel like I took on a lot of work this year maybe more than I should of which left me finishing off some briefs which I initially would of taken longer to do and having to miss some things for them briefs which I was annoyed about. Another weakness would possibly be production towards the end and how much time I spent photographing my work Sometimes it took twice as long as expected which had a knock on effect with other work.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these? • • • • •
Manage my time better so I can achieve a higher quality of work in a shorter time. Printing some things externally to avoid disappointment with some of the double sided printing not working correctly. Set more time apart for design boards Set more time apart to do photography Document my work more efficiently to save time
6.How would you grade yourself on the following areas: (please indicate using an ‘x’) 5= excellent, 4 = very good, 3 = good, 2 = average, 1 = poor 1

The evaluation of your work is an important part of the assessment criteria and represents a percentage of the overall grade. It is essential that you give yourself enough time to complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self evaluation process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible.
