1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
I have developed the skills to present better and be more confident about my own work and my practice. I have developed such skills as being able to meet with studios and people and and discuss my work and myself as a designer. I have effectively applied them by securing myself a placement and a I have engaged with many visiting professionals.
2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
This year as previous years I have taken a minimal approach to my branding I feel like this style has served me well and this is how I see my branding reflect my style although it is minimal it is also professional and monochrome. I find the style is sleek and simplistic. Its very striped back and I like the idea of having examples of my work being able to speak for them selves without over branding myself.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?
Strength of mine throughout the module would be using my initiative and being able to speak to people when I need to. I think making a big effort with the web side of my branding although I got it designed I knew I didn’t want to have a simple template I wanted something different so I would stand out.
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future? I wish I had gone and visited more creative studios and not limited my self to the view that I did. I found third year very busy time and I wish I had set a little more time apart for that.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these? • • • • •
Manage my time better so I can achieve a higher quality of work in a shorter time. Speaking to more people in industry Go to more exhibitions an events Document my work more efficiently Go on more studio visits.
