Background Information
Research & Inspiration
Route 66 is a traveling destination. Route 66 was established on Nov 11. 1962 with road signs erected the following year. The high way which became one of the most famous roads in America
Independent magazines have been looked at along side travel magazines and publications. A huge influence on the publication was the content and research into actual existing places along route 66. 02

Development The starting development was creating different styles of front covers to get a feel for the brief and the aesthetic. The cover needed to be simplistic yet be viewed as a bespoke travel guide. The map designed has been developed from full colour too
colour coded to minimal design to fit in with the aesthetic. The binding that was used during the project proved not to be as successful as previous times due to offset printing. 03
